i) Gear oil leakage from gearbox to be checked and rectified in case of leakage. Also, trouble shooting and rectification of defects in gear box if the same is reported to the bidder by the Assistant Engineer, Kakdwip Mechanical Sub-Division.
ii) Entire exhaust line cleaning, repair or renewal of fire proof joint, along with damaged portion of insulation coverings if required. (Both for Main Engine & Generator Engine).
iii) Engine and Gear control push-pull cable adjustment. Control lever & Remote (Joystick) unit repairing as required.
iv) All types of transmission belts, hoses, clamps, fasteners etc. to be renewed as required. (Both for Main Engine & Generator Engine).
v) Associated fresh water cooling pipe line, Lub Oil cooling pipe-line, etc. to be attended & repaired with renewal of necessary rubber hose as required. (both for Main Engine & Generator Engine).
vi) Battery checking including terminals, application of petroleum jelly on the terminals and topping up of Distilled water (Distilled water to be supplied by Department). Also, Battery test report is to be submitted.

Electrical arrangement AC / DC and Others:
Periodical checking of AC, DC electrical arrangement and Self- starter, Alternator, Battery and electrical pump submit report & repair to be done as required

i) Battery charger repair if found to be defective.
ii) All the electrical line A.C & D.C connection light, fan, bulb, Flood Lights, LED Sets, Horn, navigation lights electric wipers of wheel house including minor electrical wirings etc. repair if found to be defective and renewal as required.
iii) Electrical panel and equipment therein are to be checked and repaired or replaced if required (every 03 months).
iv) All the 3 phase electrical motor fitted with anchor winches, ramp hoisting winches etc and their operating switches are to be checked every 03 months, repaired / replaced if required.
v) All the DG set alternators are to be repaired if found to be defective.
vi) Electrical transformer to be repaired if found to be defective. Note: Spares required, if any, will be supplied by Department.

Steering wheel arrangement, Winch and Others:
Periodical checking and repairing, if required, of steering control system, hydraulic arrangement

i) Steering line hydraulic hoses to be renewed if found to be defective (Spares to be supplied by bidder at his own cost). Limit switches, solenoid valves, potentiometer, hydraulic power pack assembly to be serviced once every 06 months and repaired, if required (Spares to be supplied by the department).
ii) Hydraulic piston and cylinder assembly of electro-mechanical steering gear system to be checked every month or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Cost of ‘O’ Ring, if required, to be borne by bidder. Machining work, if required, shall arranged to be done by the bidder and the expense will be borne by the Department.
iii) Anchor windlass, ramp hoisting winch, emergency hand pumps, steering wheel to be thoroughly checked every 03 months and lubricated properly and if required, repair should be done by the bidder (spares shall be supplied by Department; cost of machining, if any, shall be borne by the Department. Painting of reduction gear box etc. shall have to be done by the bidder every 03 months. Paint to be supplied by the department for such painting work of reduction gear box, foundation, etc.
iv) Tie-rod pins of steering system to be checked every month and if required the same is to be repaired. Cost of spares to be borne by department but machining work is to be at bidder’s own expense.

Pumps and pipe lines:
Periodical Checking of all the pipe lines (River & fresh water, fuel), all the valve chest (oil and water), valves, water tanks, fuel tanks to be carried out once in a month

i) Bilge section, Engine cooling, fresh water (for engine & domestic) pipe line, etc. to be checked. Pressure testing is to be done once in 12 months. Fitment with new joints to be done as and when required.
ii) River water line, fresh water line & fuel oil line valves overhauling, repairing if found to be defective.
iii) Sea chest, oil chest, valve chest & mud box are to be periodically cleaned & painted every 06 months. However cleaning of mud box and strainers have to be every 03 months. Note: Spares required, if any, will be supplied by department.

2) Note: Paints should be marine grade of reputed manufacturer like Berger paints or Shalimar paints and such paint shall have to be supplied by the bidder at his own cost. 3) Note: Painting to be done once in 12 months. The time for painting shall be as communicated to the bidder by the Assistant Engineer, Kakdwip Mechanical Sub-Division.

b) High gloss enamel anti-skid (Bus Green Colour)-2 coats.
iv) Superstructure:
a) Zinc chromate primer (red oxide colour)-1 coat.
b) High gloss enamel (white colour)-2 coats.
2) Note: Paints should be marine grade of reputed manufacturer like Berger paints or Shalimar paints.
3) Note: Painting has to be done once in 12 months except for the surface of the deck exposed to sunlight. The surface of the deck exposed to sunlight has to be painted once every 04 months.
