The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completion of similar nature of work with a minimum value of 30% of the estimated amount during 5 years prior to the date of issue of the tender notice for the 2nd Call of NIeT, and 20% for the 3rd Call of NIeT. Alternatively, the bidder can have completed 2 similar nature of works, each with a minimum value of 25% of the estimated amount for the 2nd Call, or a single running work of similar nature to the extent of 75% or more with a value not less than 30% of the estimated amount for the 2nd Call, or 70% or more with a value not less than 20% of the estimated amount for the 3rd Call. The value of the similar works completed should be mentioned, along with the percentage of participation of the company in the project. The bidder should have access to or have available liquid assets of not less than 10% of the estimated cost put to tender. The bidder's net worth for the last year should be positive, and their bid capacity should be more than the estimated amount put to tender. The value of "A" is to be calculated based on the table containing the value of engineering works undertaken during the last 5 years, and the available bid capacity is calculated as: Assessed Available Bid Capacity = [A x N x 2 – B], where A is the maximum value of engineering works in respect of projects executed in any one year during the last 5 years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the works, and B is the financial liability of the bidder for existing commitments and on-going works. The bidder should have completed similar works, but the exact percentage is not specified. However, the bidder should not have abandoned more than one work, and not more than one of their contracts should have been rescinded during the last 3 years from the date of publishing of the NIeT. The bidder should have full-time engaged/appointed experienced technical personnel, with a minimum of one Civil Engineering Degree holder and one Civil Engineering Diploma holder.
