iii) Extra over the rate for 10 km carriage for every additional 1 km (or part there of) carriage beyond 10 km and up to 15 km.

Carrying CI/DI/MS pipes with Specials and Valves and lowering placing in position and laying carefully inside the trenches in proper alignment and gradient etc. including earth work in excavation of adequate width as per specification having min. clear cover from top of pipe is 1.10 mtr. Below existing ground level in any kind of soil including mixed width boulder road sub-grade and its flank but excluding moorum and laterite & stone etc. without damaging the existing telephone/electric cable etc. (in case of damage if any type of cable line during execution, necessary damage charges as applicable by the respective authority will be Bourne by the agency in his own cost) preparing the bottom surface for continuous bedding of pipe line & laying pipes, fitting fixing specials and valves with belling out water if any including damage of pipes, specials & valves from local department store within 8 km & back filling the trenches with excavated earth in layers to original condition as per specification &direction of EIC. The surplus materials after execution of work are to be returned to the Deptt. Store N.B. i)Any deviation from required clear cover of 1.1 mtr. Due to site adverse condition, prior permission is to be obtained from the EIC in exceptional situation & payment will be made to prorate basis over the rate of the entire item. ii) No Payment will made without hydraulic test of the pipe line either part or full. iii) The pipes specials & valves, rubber gasket will be supplied free of cost. a) 300mm dia

Making rubber gasket joint CI/DI Pipes maintaining proper alignment, level etc by mechanical arrangement with/without using mobile cranes where necessary and with help of all other equipments such as gently girder, tools and tacklrs as required, providing lubricant of approved quality and cleaning the groups of pipes, sockets all complete as per specification and direction of EIC. (Rubber gasket will be supplied departmentally free of cost) I) 300 mm dia.

Making flange joint to CI/DI/GI pipes specials and valves where necessary rubber insertion, bolts, nuts washers etc of approved quality and type and painting compete as per specification and direction of EIC. [Nuts & bolts shall be of TATA / GKW rate) I) 300 mm dia.

Making Mechanical joint with CI/DI/MS pipe including all tools plants etc. but excluding specials which will be supplied departmentally free of cost. i) 300 mm dia.

Extra charge for cutting CI/DI (all type) pipe by Chisel/Hackshaw including rendering the surface smooth to make it suitable for rubber gasket/lead joint/detachable joints complete as per direction of EIC. i) 250 mm to 350 mm dia.

Filling the pipeline with water testing hydraulically as per IS 3114-1965 (Article-6) in section of a length not exceeding 500 Mtr for head of pressure as per specification including supplying, installing and fixing all equipment such as diesel generator pump set, blank flange, pump pressure gauge, valves pressure pump and all other tools and plants including drilling , tapping and plugging of necessary holes of pipes, blocking ends providing thrust block and subsequent blocking of holes and other jointing materials and dismantling and removal of the same including disposal of water etc all complete as per specification and direction of EIC. The rate is inclusive of cost of requisite water to be arranged by the direction (recovery rate of water @10.00/cu.m. if contractor used water from deptt. source. i) 300 mm dia.

Cleaning thoroughly the inner surface of pipeline including specials and valves by flushing with water and subsequently dis infection of the same pipeline by flushing again with water containing bleaching powder resulting in residual chlorine not less than 10 mg/ltr after 24 hours of such filling including laboratory testing of water samples obtained from the disinfected pipeline and disposal of water from the pipeline after completion of the work.The rates including cost of requisite water to be arranged by the contractor. i) 300 mm dia.

Pumping out water from ponds or tanks.

Earth work in excavation of foundation in trenches or drains in all sorts of soil including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sandstone) including removing spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75 M. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the sides of trenches levelling and dressing and ramming the bottom bailing out water etc. as required complete. a) Depth of excavation no exceeding 1500 MM.

Earth work in filling in foundation trenches or plinth with good earth in layers not exceeding 150mm. including watering and ramming etc. layer by layer complete.(Paytment to be made on the basis of measurement of finished quantity of work.) a) With earth obtained from excavation of foundation.

(A) Filling in foundation or plinth by silver sand in layer not exceeding 150 mm as directed and consolidating the same by thorough saturation with water, ramming complete including the cost of supply of sand. (Payment to be made on measurement of finished quantity).

Cement concrete with graded stone ballast (40 mm size excluding shuttering). In ground floor a) 1:3:6 proportion A) Pakur variety

Single brick flat soling of picked jhama bricks including ramming and dressing bedding proper level and filling joints with powdered earth of local sand.

Ordinary cement concrete (Mix 1:1:5:3) with graded stone chips (20mm. Size) excluding shuttering and reinforcement if any in ground floor as per relevant IS codes. i) Pakur variety.

Hire and labour charges for shuttering with cantering and necessary staging upto 4 m. using approved stout props and thick hard wood planks of approved thickness with required bracing for concrete slabs, beams, columns, lintels curved or straight including fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of works. (up to Roof of ground floor) (a) 25 mm to 30 mm thick wooden shuttering as per decision & direction of Engineer-in-charge.

Reinforcement for reinforced concrete work in all sorts of structure including distribution bars, stirrups binders etc, initial straightening and removal of loose rust (if necessary) cutting to requisite length, hooking and binding and the correct shape placing in proper position and binding with 16 gauge black annealed wire at every intersection, complete as per drawing and direction. a) For works in foundation, basement and up to roof of ground floor / up to 4m. i) Mild steel / Tor steel. with JSW / JSPL / SHYAM / BMASL / Electrosteel / SSL ]
