Compacting earthwork in embankment in layers of 25 cm. by power roller or by any other mechanical means, like tractor driven sheep foot roller / vibrating plate compactor earth rammer etc., (not at OMC) including necessary watering, labour charges, hire charges of all materials, tools & plants etc. and including cost and supply of all materials complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge. (Payment will be made on the basis of Pre-work & Post-work level)

Earthwork in excavation in the canals / drainage channels / borrow pits / River bed / slope of bank as noted below as per designed section & throwing the spoils in layers of 25 cm. for making banks as per profile or to deposit the same in any other place within an initial lead of 30 metre and initial lift of 1.5 metre including breaking clods, rough dressing etc. complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge. Ordinary soil/ local soil/ soil mixed with moorum or Kankar / silt, dry or moist / slushy silt / sticky soil.

Supplying Nylon cage netting different size with knot having mesh size 17.5 cm x 17.5 cm constructed with nylon thread (210 x 24) having tensile strength not less than 250 Kg. / sq. cm. including carriage, delivery and stacking at site inclusive of all taxes complete. (a) For 1m. x 1m. x 0.4m nominal size crate

Labour Charges for Dumping and placing in position properly filled in nylon crates with filled in HDPE bags (maximum 12 nos.) with local earth or sand, sewing and tying the crate with nylon wire within a lead of 150 m and all lifts in river slope or bed by utting trenches upto 15 cm depth, if necessary, or by boat including cost of hire charges of boats with boatmen and other necessary equipment and also including cost of bags, carriage and charges of filling bags with earth/sand but excluding ost of nylon crate as per direction of the engineer- in - charge. N.B- Volume of each earth/sand filled HDPE bags should not be less than 0.0328 cum . size of nylon crate is 1 metre x 1 metre x 0.40 metre. Considering 85% filling of each bag for compaction in the crate for slope pitching as per guideline. (a) Where boats are not necessary. (a) For 1m. x 1m. x 0.4m nominal size crate

Making rectangular sausage cage with 10 SWG galvanized iron wire of 125 mm. x 125 mm. mesh wire netting with proper lapping of minimum 150 mm. including sewing the joints with 12 SWG GI wire and supply of all materials and equipments including placing the sausage cage inposition, filling the same with boulder or lump agreegates complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge but excluding the cost of boulder/ lump aggregates and its carriage upto site. (Cost is excluding the cost of end pieces ) b) 1.20 metre x 0.90 metre nominal section

Quarrying ( including royalty,cess, C.S.T. etc. and loading, unloading, ferry charges, repeated handling on the way and further carriage by head load/boat reach at site) supplying stone boulders of 25 Kg. and above from quarry site to the site of work and stacking properly etc. complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (1/7 th. voids will be deducted from gross measurement of stacks)

Supplying, fitting, fixing end pieces for rectangular/ square/ circular sausages at the ends, with 10 SWG/ 8 SWG GI wire net of different mesh size stying & sewing the same maintaning a lap length of 150 mm all around with 12 SWG GI wire complete, including the cost of supply of wire netting, fitting etc, complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge. b) Mesh size 125 mm x 125 mm with 10 SWG wire.

Box cutting or filling in Road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary.

Construction of Sub Base using Local Materials,spreading in uniform layers with Motor grader on prepared surface, including screening the metal as necessary, mixing by mix in place method with Rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, lighting,guarding and barricading including cost and carriage of all materials and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre wide on each side to protect the edges complete as per Clause 401 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H(5th Revision) (i) For Construction of Sub Base by compacting 1st class brick aggregates (40 mm down) and sand (in proportion of 60:40)

Supplying, spreading and consolidating Moorum to a depth of 75 mm at desired density and C.B.R. as perspecification with power roller to proper gradient and camber including watering as necessary, and lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary to protect the edges and curing with water for 2 to 3 days, mending cracks by rolling where necessary including all incidental charges of roller, cost of fuel & lubricants etc. complete as per specification. (The compaction factor may be taken as 0.67)

Extra rate for stacking unloaded boulder on private land (where Govt. land is not available) to make them convenient for measurement as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge (land to be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. Note: - This item is payable only when the Engineer-in-charge in his discretion is satisfied about the necessity.
