Earth work in excavation of foundation trenches or drains, in all sorts of soil (including mixed soil but excluding laterite or sandstone) including removing, spreading or stacking the spoils within a lead of 75 m. as directed. The item includes necessary trimming the sides of trenches, levelling, dressing and ramming the bottom, bailing out water as required complete.

(a) Depth of excavation not exceeding 1,500 mm.

(b) Depth of excavation for additional depth beyond 1,500 mm. and upto 3,000 mm. but not requiring shoring.

Supplying fitting and fixing R.C. guard post 1.37m long with C.C. 1:2:4 with graded stone chips of 13.2mm down casting , curing complete including cost of providing 4nos.of 12mm dia. rod of length 1.54m as main reinforcement and 6 nos. of round shaped 8mm dia rods used as binders; the placing of the first binder should be at 75mm below the top finished surface and the other 5 nos of binders should be placed at 245mm c/c ; the guard post is of octagonal section with inscribed circle of dia 24cm at the base tapering to corresponding dimensions of 16cm at the top including two coats of painting with best quality synthetic enamel paint of approved make and grade to form 6 nos. horizontal alternate bands in white/tannery yellow and black to 90 cm length standing up above ground after mendinggood damages if any during striking off shuttering, making hole in ground of 47cm depth and 30cm. minimum dia, fixing the guard posts in the same holes and repacking the earth properly so as to keep the guard posts standing properly erect in correct position true to line and length including carriage of R. Supplying Cold formed Steel Sheet Piling Z-type or U Type as per IS 2314-1986 upto Amendment no-I June 2018. Structural Steel material conforming to Grade Designation E250 (Fe 410 W) of IS 2062: 2006 having minimum yield strength of 250 N/mm2. Specification i) Range of minimum thickness (excluding tolerance at any part in mm) - 8.0 tmin 9.0 ii) Range of Mass (Kg/Sqm)- 97.3 M108.6 iii) Range of Elastic Modulus (cm3) - 1037E1759. Driving M S sheet piles of any kind of approved type and size conforming to I.S. code in all kinds of soil/ soil mixed with gravel, shingle & pebbles, by vibro-sinker including handling, cutting to requisite size, drilling holes, hoisting in position, welding, fabrication of sets of tapper piles, corner piles etc. with clutch bars as may be required including staging, scaffolding and hire charges of driving machinery and equipments, scraping and cleaning piles, painting the surface with one coat of surface primer of approved make and brand and two coats of ready mixed oil bound paint (except red lead and black japan) etc. including all cost of labours, supply and carriage of equipments to site (by any mean) as per drawing and direction of the Engineer-in-charge but excluding the cost of sheet piles. NB:- Measurement of area underground to be taken i.e. straight length of pile multiplied by driven length).

Hire and labour charges for Shuttering with or without staging upto 4.0 m height using approved stout props with wooden planks/ply wood/steel sheet plate with required bracing for any kind of plain or reinforced concrete works in all sorts of minor structure including culvert, box culvert, crossdrain etc. The rate is inclusive of fitting, fixing and striking out after completion of work as per specification andmdirection. (b)Where staging nis not required.

Sand filling in foundation trenches and at the back of abutments, wing-walls etc. with good local sand free from earth in layers not exceeding 15 cm. including inundating each layer by profuse water and poking and ramming layer by layer complete including supply of sand. Quality of sand is to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge. Compaction factor of dry clean sand is 0.835

Precast cement concrete blocks or lining units as per designed section and specification, in nominal mix proportion 1:1.5:3( corresponding to M20 Grade) with well graded 20mm down stone metal aggregate, including dressing, ramming, shuttering, finishing the surface by trowel without adding any additional cement and sand mortar, curing, transporting and laying the blocks or lining units at worksite in position, over sand cushion,filter, layer, with cold (paper) joints between the adjacent units, having gap varying from 0 to 5 mm as tolerance, with all leads and lifts, including supply and carriage of all materials complete. With stone aggregate (Pakur, or broken stone of North Bengal Varieties)

Supplying, fitting and placing HYSD bar reinforcement in Bridge Super-structure including initial straightening, straightening of coils bars, removal of loose rust (if any), cutting to requisite length bending, binding with annealed wire not less than 1 mm in size and conforming to IS 280 at every intersection hooked and bent to correct shape and placed on forms etc. including cost of black annealed wire and cost of loading, unloading, carriage of all steel materials complete as per drawing and technical specifications. The rate provided is exclusive of cost of steel materials. Construction wing should add cost & carriage of 1.05 MT (considering 5% wastage) of steel materials to arrive at the final consolidated item rate. Box cutting or filling in Road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary. (a) Depth up to 150 mm

Water Bound Macadam Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal / Laterite chelly or stone metal /shingles of specific size in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of metals etc. as necessary, hand packing, sweeping, watering and rolling in stages with power roller to proper line, grade and camber, lighting, guarding & barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling and rolling all complete including the cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machineries and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). (i) For Construction of Sub Base by consolidating Laterite (90 mm to 45 mm) with moorum screening

NB: Added cost at site of 1.45 m3 of materials and Distance from quarry at to work site: 106.0 KM to arrive at the consolidated rate.

Supplying, spreading and consolidating Moorum to a depth of 75 mm at desired density and C.B.R. as per specification with power roller to proper gradient and camber including watering as necessary, and lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary to protect the edges and curing with water for 2 to 3 days, mending cracks by rolling where necessary including all incidental charges of roller, cost of fuel & lubricants etc. complete as per specification. [Distance from quarry to work site: 57.50 KM] The compaction factor may be taken as 0.67. (The payment is to be made on the basis of the finished compacted volume of moorum.)

Making filter with well graded 40 mm down ballasts and laying uniformly behind weep holes, below pitching on bed, side slopes including supply and carriage of all materials to site including preparing bed with earthwork up to 30 cm depth, where necessary and compacting with wooden malllet after laying to achieve designed section as per direction of the Engineer- in - Charge (measurements will be on finished work / in stack after deducting necessary void).) (b) 1st class brick ballast

Supplying RC spun pipe (NP2) and matching collar as per specification including carriage upto a distance of 50Km from factory, loading, unloading and stacking properly at destination (Departmental stack yard / site of work) inclusive of all taxes.

Providing & fixing Concrete Sign Board as per IRC specification of size 900 x 750 x 37 mm. thick made with RCC 1:1½:3 with pakur variety stone chips reinforced with double layer IRC febric (75 x 75 mm. mesh) and fixed with necessary nuts & bolts on two RC precast posts 100 mm. x 150 mm. of height 2.65 m. of which top 750 mm. is of section 100 x 13 mm. and 1.90 metre above GL & 0.75 metre below GL including digging hole, repacking the same with cement concrete 1:3:6 with jhama khoa or with local stone chips etc. complete including painting two coats on both faces lettering sign marks etc. as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. (The rate is inclusive of cost of reinforcement, concrete, shuttering, nuts & bolts, washer etc. complete.)
