The required prior work experience for the bidder includes the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received in any one of the previous three financial years or the current financial year. For similar works, the bidder should possess experience of having successfully completed similar works during the last 7-years. The similar works should be anyone of the following: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 30% of the estimated cost. - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost. - One similar completed work costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost. In case of subcontracting, the subcontractor must have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. However, for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh, no previous work experience of the subcontractor is required. The value of a completed work/work in progress/work awarded but yet not started for a member in an earlier JV shall be reckoned only to the extent of the concerned member's share in that JV. The available bid capacity is calculated based on the maximum value of construction works executed and payment received, and existing commitments and balance amount of ongoing works. Note that the work shall be considered similar if it consists of "Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 11kV/433V and above voltage electrical sub-stations".
