A) Relating to the RSW Glass Production technology (Highly Technical in nature) • Processing of raw materials and high density cullet • Washing of cullet and loading in 40 L Platinum Pot • Melting of RSW glass with Gas purging and casting. • Transferring and handling of 400x400x100mm thick glass blocks • Sawing, Grinding, Fining, Optically Polishing, Storing, Packing & Dispatching. • Technical assistance during repairing of existing furnaces and equipments installed at SGTD • Preparation of samples for Characterization and testing of the quality of glass produced and developed at SGTD • Assistance of various works relating to technology development and Conducting trial melting of large-sized radiation shielding window (RSW) glass slabs using 60 L and 120 L refractory crucible with the proposed new facility B) Relating to the publicity and public Interface activities (Non Technical in nature) • Assistance of various works relating to the organization of different programme by Publicity and Public Interference Cell. • Preparation of documents & reports on the said conferences, seminars and workshops. Making the videography of the programme for display purpose. • Assistance on various project development activities being pursued at SGTD. C) Support for Administrative Activities (Administrative nature) • Assistance during Preparation of notes, statements of accounts. • Preparation of bills / invoice etc. relating to the aforesaid project activities. • Movement of official files and correspondences among different sections. • Preparation of documents & reports on different projects deal with the departmental files.
