CONCRETE WORK

Controlled Concrete of specified grade cast-in situ as per IS: 456 & IRS concrete Bridge code using properly graded aggregate of 20mm size, sand, cement etc. as per approved drawing shoring (if required) mixing admixer/ super plastisizer etc. and and specifications for construction of in foundation/substructure of major bridge excluding shuttering and reinforcement. The rate shall include vibrating for proper compaction and curing upto specified period , running expenses of all equipments, dewatering and all materials including admixture if required. including transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, royalty. taxes and duties, incidental charges all complete. , direction of Engineer in Charge. Note : (i) All works to be done as per relevant BIS codes. (ii) Concreting shall conform to the requirements specified in IRS Concrete Bridge Code and IS: 456. (iii) Design of concrete mix shall be in accordance with given in the recommended guidelines as per IRS Concrete Bridge Code and that should be approved by B&R's compitent authority before commencing the work. iii)The cost includes supply of plasticizer as required and as instructed by Site-Engg.. The minimum cement content shall be 400 kg/m3 (excluding M15) in all conditions with Super plasticizer per cubic meter of controlled concrete but actual consumption will be determined on the basis of preliminary test and job mix formula.

Supply, making and placing of reinforcement steel (TMT) of grade 500D or higher grade conforming to IS-1786 (Latest Revision) at site of any dia for the RCC/CC works as per approved drawing and Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) attached with the tender document including cutting, bending,binding,placing with the supply of 16SWG galvanised binding wire, transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, taxes and duties, incidental charges , direction of Engineer in Charge all complete. . Notes : The above item is also include the following 1] Materials as per requirements shall be brought to site and kept under Contractor custody at their own cost and risk, without any damage like rusting of steel etc. 2] Payment of the materials will be made as per actual consumption in the work corrsponding to approved bar bending schedule (BBS) excluding wastage and whatever wastage taken place i.e. cut pieces, etc. will be the property of contractor and the same shall be removed from the site at his own cost. 3] Mechanical splicing shall be done for reinforcement steel bar above 25 mm dia with coupling as per QAP 4] Manufacturer-s test certificate conforming to latest IS[BIS] Specification should also be produced by Contractor, duly authenticated by the Engineer in Charge. 5] The BandR-LTHPL reserves the right to take samples of materials supplied by the Contractor and to get the same tested in reputed laboratories and the results there of shall be binding on the Contractor. Cost of the test to be born by the contractor.

STONE WORK

Providing and laying 300mm Pitching with stone boulders weighing not less than 35 kg each with the voids filled with spalls on slopes laid over prepared filter media including boulder apron laid dry in front of toe of embankment complete as per drawing and Technical specifications (Filter media to be paid separately under the relevant item)including transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, royalty. taxes and duties, incidental charges , direction of Engineer in Charge.

MISCELLANEOUS

Providing & applying Epoxy for bonding of new concrete to old concrete @ 0.80 Kg / sqm with pot life not less than 60-90 minutes and as per specifications including cleaning the surface including transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, royalty. taxes and duties, incidental charges , direction of Engineer in Charge all complete. .

Conducting in-situ full size Plate Load Test (PLT) at selected location as per IS:10042 including making loading arrangements and other required activities as per codal provisions including excavation and refilling of trial pit : Plate size- 45cm x 45cm including transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, taxes and duties, incidental charges , direction of Engineer in Charge all complete.

Providing weep holes in Reinforced Concrete abutment, retaining wall/return wall etc. with 100mm dia. AC/PVC/HDPC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V:20H towards drawing force. Complete as per drawing and Technical Specifications (Reference to MORTH&H's specifications 2706&2200) including transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, taxes and duties, incidental charges , direction of Engineer in Charge.

Drainage Spouts not less than 100 mm dia of corrosive resistance material, spacing not exceeding 10 m. complete as per drawing and Technical specification (Reference to MORT&H's specification 2705) including transportation, labour, tooles & tackeles, taxes and duties, incidental charges , direction of Engineer in Charge all complete. .

Providing, fabricating and fixing ms insert plates with lugs in concrete, ms handrail etc various structural elements including cutting, welding, grinding, rust cleaning, finishing with one coat of zink cromoite/red oxide, transportation, labor, tools, tackles, taxes and duties, incidental charges, as per direction of EIC.
