Item to include all types of shuttering, staging, scaffolding, necessary tools, plants, machinery and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts and depths true to level and position all complete excluding only the cost of reinforcement which shall be paid separately. First abutment (height = 6m) Second abutment (height = 8m) The scope of work in the item primarily includes: Pumping/bailing out of water wherever required to keep the work area in dry condition, including its labour, material and equipment. Designing and getting approval of the design and drawings of formwork and temporary structures from the Engineer-in-charge well before start of work at the site. Providing, placing, cleaning, oiling, dismantling and removal of shuttering, staging, scaffolding and other temporary structures for all leads and lifts/depth with all required tools and plants.Maintenance and protection of existing services (if any) which in the opinion of Engineer-in-charge are likely to be affected by any related activities including temporary shifting and re-shifting of such services to facilitate construction shall also have to be done without any extra cost. Providing and mixing all ingredients of cement concrete including admixtures if required, transportation, placement, compaction, finishing and curing of concrete. The minimum slump of concrete shall be 100mm at the time of placement of concrete. Leaving pocket in the dirt wall for installation of expansion joint and concreting the same after the installation of the expansion joint as per recommendations of expansion joint supplier and directions of the Engineer-in-charge. Disposal of all spoils and rubbish for all lifts & leads up to 1000m to keep the work area neat and tidy during execution of work and thereafter. All labour, material, tools, equipment, safety measures, diversion of traffic (where applicable) and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications.

Providing, testing and installation of POT/POT-CUM-PTFE bearings (free/guided/fixed/pin bearings) of specified capacity (vertical load upto 250t & horizontal load upto 65t) as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works and IRC: 83 (Part III). Item to include cost of the bearing design as per the provisions of IRC: 83 (Part III) by the bearing manufacturer based on forces and movements given in the Drawings, all the operations required for installation of bearings, all the materials, labour, equipment and incidental work required to execute the job. The bearing design and drawings shall be got approved from the Engineer-in-charge well before start of the fabrication of bearings. The bearings shall be tested as per the provisions of IRC: 83 (Part III) in the presence of authorized representative of the Department. The installation of bearings shall be done in the presence of authorized representative of the bearing manufacturer who shall certify the quality of work.

Providing weep holes in abutment walls, return walls, wing walls etc. with 100mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V:20H towards draining face as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all types of temporary structures, necessary templates, cutting, grinding, drilling, welding, necessary tools, plants, machinery, labour and all related operations as required to complete the work in all respect. The scope of work in the item primarily includes:Preparing and submitting fabrication, testing and transportation plans (prepared by approved Consultant) with relevant sketches/drawings for approval from the Engineer-in-charge. These plans shall include detailed shop drawings including step wise methodology/procedure adopted for fabrication, testing and transportation of various structural steel components of bridge superstructure. While preparing the plans due consideration shall be given to site conditions e.g. hydrology, rainfall, flood timings & intensity, soil & sub-soil conditions in the river bed & banks, maximum water depths, temperature & climatic conditions, available working space & time etc. The availability & capacity of various plants, tools, machinery, equipment etc. shall also be given due consideration while preparing the fabrication plans.Providing fresh calibration certificates and charts of various plants, tools, equipment etc. wherever applicable. Keeping all the safety provisions during fabrication and transportation of the structure.Testing of all equipment, machinery, tools, tackles, ropes etc. to ensure their efficient working. Keeping suitable arrangement as per the directions of the Engineer-in-charge to inspect any component before, during and after transportation of the structure. Sand blasting on materials/structural element (wherever required), surface preparation, application of primer & various coats of internal and external painting in fabrication shop as per the Specifications & directions of the Engineer-in-charge. Painting shall be done with paint and colour approved by the Engineer-in-charge. Testing charges of paint as per shall also deemed to be included in the quoted rates. Suitable measures shall be taken to prevent rusting of various structural elements. Testing of material & welds as per the Specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-charge shall be included in the quoted rates and nothing extra shall be paid on account of the same.Providing all temporary bolts and nuts to be used during assembling and removing them at appropriate time before site erection. Making suitable arrangement for stability of structure during transportation for various load effects. Making necessary arrangement for connection of permanent bearings (POT/POT-cum-PTFE) with truss as per the recommendations of the bearing manufacturer and directions of the Engineer-in-charge. Cost of bearings shall be paid separately under separate item.Verification of all the dimensions of the members by shop layout before start of actual fabrication.All the steel components shall be procured from the approved manufacturer (i.e. SAIL, RINL, TATA) and fabricated in the approved workshop. List of various facilities required in the workshop for fabrication and testing shall also be got approved from the Engineer-in- charge well in advance of start of work. Weight of welds including plug welds (if any), wastages, protective coatings etc. shall not included in the weight calculations and their cost shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates. All the joints in various structural steel components shall be either shop welded or spliced at site with HSFG/HTS bolts as shown in the drawings. Site welding shall not be permitted.Disposal of all spoils and rubbish for all lifts & leads up to 1000m to keep the work area neat and tidy during execution of work and thereafter. ERECTION OF TRUSS: Erecting and placing/fixing in position Grade 'B' structural steel (rolled sections and built-up sections using steel plates.& rolled section conforming to IS: 2062 with yield strength of 250MPa i.e. Fe250) in steel truss (including top & bottom chord, vertical/diagonal members, stiffeners, gusset/cover plates), plan bracings, cross girders/diaphragms etc. supporting RCC deck slab as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works and IRC: 24 Specifications. Item to include all types of staging, scaffolding, necessary templates, temporary structures, necessary tools, plants, machinery and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts/heights, true to level & position complete in all respect.The scope of work in the item primarily includes:Preparing and submitting erection plans (prepared by approved Consultant & vetted by approved Government college/institute) with relevant sketches/drawings for approval from the Engineer-in-charge. The plans shall include step wise methodology/procedure adopted for erection of various structural steel components of bridge superstructure (truss). While preparing the plans due consideration shall be given to site conditions e.g. hydrology, rainfall, flood timings & intensity, soil & sub-soil conditions in the river bed & banks, maximum water depths, temperature & climatic conditions, available working space & time etc. The availability & capacity of various plants, tools, machinery, equipment etc. shall also be given due consideration while preparing the fabrication and erection plans.Providing fresh calibration certificates and charts of various plants, tools, equipment etc. wherever applicable.Keeping all the safety provisions during erection of the structure. Testing of all equipment, machinery, tools, tackles, ropes etc. prior to actual commencement of erection to ensure their efficient working. Providing, designing and getting approval of the design and drawings of all the false work/temporary structures (including their foundations wherever applicable) required for the erection of steel truss, plan bracings, cross diaphragms etc. well before start of fabrication of structural steel. Providing all temporary bolts and nuts (if any) to be used during site erection. Providing temporary bearings & sand jacks required during erection and making suitable arrangement for stability of structure during erection for various load effects including wind/seismic forces.Making necessary arrangement for connection of permanent bearings (POT/POT-cum-PTFE) with truss as per the recommendations of the bearing manufacturer and directions of the Engineer-in-charge. All HSFG bolts and nuts, washers conforming to IS: 1367, IS: 3757, IS: 6610, IS: 6623, IS: 6649 and IS: 4000 shall be used. The item shall include all labour, material, tools, equipment, safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications. Measurement shall be made for actual weight of complete bolt assembly including nuts & compatible washers used in permanent work in kilograms.

Providing and fixing hand rail over the crash barrier consisting of MS base plates, embedded fastener and nuts, MS vertical plates and pipes, prepackaged early high strength non-shrink grout etc. as shown in the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. All the railing components as mentioned above to be hot dip galvanised with a zinc coating of at least 175 gm/sqm. The thickness of plates shall be as shown in the Drawings and pipe to be 65NB heavy class with a weight not less than 7.92 kg/m and conforming to IS: 1161-1979. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental works required to complete the work as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

REINFORCEMENT:Providing and placing in position TMT (Fe 500 Grade) reinforcement bars in various structural elements of the bridge (i.e. foundations, substructure & superstructure) including cutting, straightening, bending, fabricating, storing, binding with mild steel annealed binding wire of 18 SWG, fixing in position complete as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge WorkThe reinforcing bars shall be free of scale and rust before placing into position. Any reinforcement, which is certified as corroded by the Engineer-in-charge shall either be withdrawn from the site or sand blasted to make them free from rust at no extra cost. Welding and hot bending of bars shall not be permitted. Making bar bending schedule and getting approval of the same from the Engineer-in-charge well before cutting of bars and fabrication of reinforcement cage. APPROACH SLAB, EXPANSION JOINTS, DRAINAGE SPOUTS, WEARING COAT & CONFIRMATORY BORING:Providing and placing in position M30 grade cement concrete (RCC) in cast-in-situ approach slab using 43/53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement, 20mm & down stone aggregate and approved quality sand as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all types of shuttering, bitumen filler type joint between approach slab & dirt wall all complete. Item to include all labour, materials, tools, equipment, safety measures and incidentals necessary to complete the work to Specifications. The minimum slump of concrete shall be 75mm at the time of placement of concrete. Measurements shall be made for the finished volume of concrete only. Cost of reinforcement (12mm dia.bars @ 150mm c/c bothways on both faces) shall not be paid separately and the same shall be included in the quoted rates.

Providing and installing single strip seal expansion joint with a total allowable movement capacity of 70mm as per Drawings, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works and IRC: SP: 69 'Guidelines & Specifications for Expansion Joints' and duly supplemented with manufacturer's recommendations. Entire installation is to be carried out strictly in the presence of manufacturer's representative only at all times who shall certify the quality of work. Item to include necessary provision and filling of recess for the expansion joints at no extra cost. The seal of the expansion joint shall be such as not to permit any dust collection at all times. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental work required to complete the job. Measurement shall be made for the actual length of expansion joint provided.

Providing and fixing drainage spouts as per the Drawings, Specifications enclosed with the tender document and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental work required to complete the job. Measurement shall be made for actual number of drainage spouts provided.

Cleaning & preparing surface and providing & applying the Tack Coat as per Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Item to include all materials, labour, machinery/equipment and incidental work required to complete the job. Measurement shall be made for actual surface area of application in square meter.

Providing and laying 40mm thick Bituminous Concrete wearing coat with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant producing an average output of 75 tonne per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder @ 5.4 to 5.6 percent of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works complete in all respect. Providing and laying 25mm Mastic Asphalt Wearing Course with paving grade bitumen meeting the requirements given in Table 500-29, prepared by using mastic cooker and laid to required level and slope after cleaning the surface, including providing antiskid surface with bitumen precoated fine grained hard stone chipping of 13.2mm nominal size at the rate of 0.005 cum per 10sqm and at an approximate spacing of 10cm center to center in both directions, pressed into surface when the temperature of surfaces is not less than 100oC, protruding 1mm to 4mm over mastic surface, all complete as per Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Bridge Works. Providing & applying the Prime Coat as per Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Road and Bridge Works. Average length of approach roads on either side of bridge is taken as 25m.

Providing, laying and rolling of Open Graded Premix Surfacing of 20mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 5.6 mm aggregates using emulsion to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonne capacity, finished to required level and grades as per the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Road and Bridge Works. Average length of approach roads on either side of bridge is taken as 25m.

Providing and laying Seal Coat sealing the voids in a bituminous surface laid to the specified levels, grade and cross fall using Type B seal coats as per the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH)/Indian Road Congress (IRC) Specifications for Road and Bridge Works. Average length of approach roads on either side of bridge is taken as 25m.

PROTECTION WORKS: Providing and laying of apron with cement concrete blocks of size 0.5x0.5x0.5 m cast in-situ and made with nominal mix of M-15 grade cement concrete with a minimum cement content of 250 kg/cum as per IRC: 112. Average size is taken as 10m x 5m x 1m.

Providing fixing of Title Information Board with PMGSY Logo at suitable place in the starting of the road as per standard drawing duly painted and written as directed by Engineer in charge/ as per MORD specification for rural roads 2014.
