The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed similar works as a principal contractor/subcontractor in the immediately preceding seven years. The similarity is based on physical size, complexity, methods, technology, or other characteristics. The required prior work experience includes: - One completed similar work costing not less than 25% of the estimated cost, - OR two completed similar works each costing not less than 15% of the estimated cost, - OR three completed similar works each costing not less than 10% of the estimated cost. The bidder must have experience under construction contracts in the role of Prime contractor for at least the last five years prior to the bid submission deadline. The bidder needs to provide details of the proposed technical persons and proposed work schedule. The bidder is required to fill up the Form EXP-2: Specific Construction Experience, providing details of a contract of similar size and nature, including: - Contract No. - Contract Identification - Award Date - Completion Date - Role in Contract (Contractor or Subcontractor) - Total Contract Amount in INR - If partner in a JV or subcontractor, specify participation of total contract amount and percentage of total amount The bidder needs to attach copies of certificates of accreditation for the project listed above. The available bid capacity will be calculated based on the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level at a rate of 10 percent per year. The calculation of available bid capacity is as follows: Assessed Available Bid capacity = ( A*N*M - B ) Where, A = Maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited M = 2.5 B = Value, at the current price level, of existing commitments and on-going works to be completed during the period of completion of the works for which bids are invited. The bidder is also required to submit a statement showing the value of existing commitments and on-going works.
