Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion SS1 grade conforming to IS:8887 on prepared surface of Granular Base including clearing of surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 kg/sqm using mechanical means complete in all respects as per direction of Engineer-In-Charge. The contractor shall quote his rates assuming quantity of bitumen emulsion as 0.70 Kg/Sqm. Providing laying and fixing of self adhesive glass fibre reinforcement grid of high modular fiber glass of mesh size not exceeding 12.5 mm x 12.5 mm,tensile strength 100kN/m X 100kN/m. The self adhesive glass fiber reinfrcement after laying over the runway pavement shall be pressed down fully with the rubber tyre roller and glued to pavement surface. The grid being self adhesive goes not required tack coat. The longitudinal over laps should not be less than 250 mm and transrve over lap i.e at the end of the roll should notbe less than 150 mm. The item should be completed in all respect, to the staification of Engineer-In-Charge.
