The required prior work experience for the bidder is a minimum of 2 years of experience for both a Degree Holder in Civil Engineering and a Diploma Holder in Civil Engineering. Additionally, for Junior Engineer (civil) or B.Sc. (P.C.M.), having one year experience is required. For contract works up to Rs. 2 Crores, the bidder should have completed at least 1 similar work with a value of at least 1 time the bid value, and the percentage of similar work completed should be at least 80%. For contract works above Rs. 2 Crores, the bidder should have completed at least 2 similar works with a value of at least 2 times the bid value, and the percentage of similar work completed should be at least 80%. The bidder must also demonstrate experience of similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work, excluding maintenance cost for five years. The bidder's available bid capacity for construction work is calculated based on their past experience, with a formula that takes into account the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years. The total annual volume of Civil Engineering construction work executed, and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited, with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant, valued in Rs. In lakhs is also required for contracts above Rs. 2 Crores.
