The required prior work experience for the bidder includes completing similar works in the last seven years. The criteria for specialized works are as follows: - Pile work: Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of this job, or two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of this job, or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of this job. - Aluminum work: Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of this job, or two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of this job, or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of this job. - Steel Structure Work (MS truss work): Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of this job, or two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of this job, or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of this job. - Metallic Roofing work: Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of this job, or two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of this job, or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of this job. - Water proofing work: Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of this job, or two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of this job, or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of this job. The values and percentages mentioned are 40%, 50%, and 80% of the cost of this job. For building works, the number of storeys to be constructed in the proposed building determines the similar work requirement. - For up to four storey buildings, there is no binding requirement. - For five to ten storey buildings, the bidder should have completed at least one building of five storeys or completed balance construction work of one building (including structural work) up to five storeys. - For eleven to fifteen storey buildings, the bidder should have completed at least one building of eight storeys or completed balance construction work of one building (including structural work) up to eight storeys. - For more than fifteen storey buildings, the bidder should have completed at least one building of ten storeys or completed balance construction work of one building (including structural work) up to ten storeys. The bidder should have an average annual financial turnover of at least 30% of the estimated cost during the last five years, with no loss in more than two years. The bidder should also have a solvency of 40% of the estimated cost from a bank or 10% solvency of the estimated cost from the District Magistrate. In case the work involves construction of two or more basements, the bidder should have executed one similar work with a minimum of one basement under one agreement. The bidder should have had an average annual financial turnover (gross) of a minimum of 30% of the tendered cost in civil/electrical construction work during the last available three-year consecutive balance sheets, duly audited by a Chartered Accountant. The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 394.94 Lac. The bidding capacity of the contractor should be equal to or more than the work put to tender, which shall be worked out by the formula: Bidding Capacity = (A x N) / (B1), where A is the maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last 7 years, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the work for which bids have been invited, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed.
