The required prior work experience for the bidder includes the completion of similar works in the last seven years. For specialized items of works, the contractor must engage agencies that have satisfactorily executed works as per specific criteria. For Pile work, Aluminum work, and Steel Structure Work, the bidder should have: - Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of the job in tender, - Or two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of the job in tender, - Or one similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of the job in tender. The cost of the job in tender is mentioned as Rs. 393.03 Lac for Civil Items of Work. For building works, the number of storeys for the purpose of definition of similar work may be taken as: - Up to four storey buildings: No binding, - Five to ten storey buildings: Minimum one building of five storeys, - Eleven to fifteen storey buildings: Minimum one building of eight storeys, - More than fifteen storey buildings: Minimum one building of ten storeys. The bidder should have average annual financial turn over (gross) of minimum 30% of tendered cost in Civil/Electrical construction work during the last available three-year consecutive balance sheets. The value of executed works shall be brought to current costing level by enhancing the actual value of work at a rate given, with escalation/enhance factors ranging from 1.00 to 1.42 for different financial years. For works involving two or more basements, the bidder should have executed one similar work with at least one basement under one agreement. The bidder should also have a solvency of 40% of the tendered cost and a bidding capacity equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work, calculated based on the maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last seven years. The bidding capacity is calculated using the formula: Bidding Capacity = {[AxNx2.5]-B}, where A is the maximum turnover in construction works, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of the work, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. The bidder should have completed similar works with a value that can be considered for the purpose of assessing technical competence. The bidder should furnish a list of all works of similar nature successfully completed during the last seven years, and a list of projects under execution or awarded, along with particulars of completed works and performance duly authenticated by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer/Project Manager or equivalent.
