The bidder should have prior work experience in similar class of works. The experience of similar class of works completed in the last seven years is considered. For certain types of work, such as D- Metallic Roofing work and E-Water proofing work, the bidder should have: - Three similar works each costing not less than 40% of the cost of this job in tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 50% of the cost of this job in tender, - One similar work costing not less than 80% of the cost of this job in tender. In general, the bidder should have completed similar work(s) with a value of not less than 40% of the tendered cost. The similar work should be with some Central/State Government Department or reputed private entities. The bidder should also have an average annual financial turnover (gross) of minimum 30% of the tendered cost in Civil/Electrical construction work during the last available three-year consecutive balance sheets. Additionally, the bidder should have completed works of similar nature during the last seven years ending the previous day of the last date of submission of tender, with details to be provided in Form C. The value of executed works shall be brought to the current cost level by enhancing the actual value of work at a specified rate. The bidding capacity of the contractor should be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work put to tender, calculated using the formula: Bidding Capacity = {[AxNx2.5]-B}, where A is the maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year, N is the number of years prescribed for completion of work, and B is the value of existing commitments and ongoing works. The bidder should have a solvency of 40% of the tendered cost certified by their Bankers.
