The required prior work experience for the bidder includes successfully completing or substantially completing any one of the following categories of work(s) during the last 07 years: - Three similar works each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender, - Two similar works each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender, - One similar work costing not less than 60% of the advertised value of the tender. The value for evaluating bid capacity is 20Cr. In case of a JV firm, the details of works with each member of the JV are required to be submitted for one similar single work for a minimum of 10% of the advertised value of the tender. For subletting of work, the subcontractor shall have successfully completed at least one work similar to the work proposed for subcontract, costing not less than 35% of the value of the work to be subletted, in the last 5 years. No previous work experience of subcontractor is required for subletting of work costing up to Rs 50 lakh. The amount of payment received for such work should be at least 90% of the present contract value. The overall cost including the PVC amount (if paid) of that completed work or substantially completed work shall be considered. The final bill (gross amount) including the PVC amount (if paid), and the total gross amount already paid including the PVC amount (if paid) are considered as the completion cost of work and cost of substantially completed work respectively. The average annual contractual turnover of the bidder should be at least the advertised value of the tender in crores of Rupees divided by the number of years prescribed for completion of work. The average annual contractual turnover shall be calculated as an average of total contractual payments in the previous three financial years, as per the audited balance sheet. The value of Rs 500 crore is mentioned as the average annual turnover required for a Public listed company to be considered for issuing a Work Experience Certificate.
