Excavation of cable trench:- This itemshall be operated in conformity with IS:1255 (latestversion) i.e. code of practice for installation andmaintenance of HT/LT cables. The price shall cover costof excavation of cable trench in all type of soil for layingLT cables and back filling the same with sieved earthand finishing the surface in its original condition afterproviding sand, & bricks 1 in cross position. For LT/HTcables the trench shall be 600mm wide x 1000mm deep.In trench the cable shall be covered with river sand at adepth of 100mm below the cable and 100mm above thecable than placing well-burned bricks continuously incrossposition through out the cable route in the ground.The bottom of the trench should level free from stonesand sharp edge of rocks etc. At the termination a loop of5 meter (approx) cable shall be kept as allowance andloops rings be formed as per the site condition, in theground, The cost shall include the cost of all materialsi.e. sand, bricks, cable route markers (grouted in the earth firmly with cement concrete so that it can not be uprooted by miscreants) etc at 25m. interval and eachturn of the cable
