The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactorily completing similar works in the last 7 years. The specific requirements are: - Three similar completed works each costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, - Two similar completed works each costing not less than 60% of the estimated cost, - One similar completed work each costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost. The experience required varies based on the nature of the work. The bidder must have experience in the specific type of work they are bidding for. The cost of work should be certified by an officer not below the rank of Executive Engineer/Project Manager or equivalent. Additionally, the bidder's maximum turnover in construction works executed in any one year during the last five years will be considered for calculating the bidding capacity. The bidding capacity of the bidder should be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work. The bidder should also demonstrate access to liquid assets and/or credit facilities of not less than 10% of the value of the contract/contracts applied for, and the bidding capacity of the contractor should be equal to or more than the estimated cost of the work put to tender. The contractor shall submit an undertaking to invest 25% of contract value of work during implementation of work.
