The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having a total annual volume of civil engineering constructions work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. The bidder should also have work experience as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. To qualify for the award of the contract, each bidder should have, in the last five years: a) Achieved in any one year a minimum financial turnover (in all cases of civil engineering construction works only) volume of construction work of at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid has been invited. The turnover will be indexed at the rate of 8 percent for a year. b) Satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third of the estimated cost of work (excluding maintenance cost for five years) for which the bid is invited. The bidder should have experience in road works with a value of up to Rs. 2 Crore or more than Rs. 2 Crore. The bidder must demonstrate availability for construction work of owned key equipment and technical personnel, and liquid assets and/or credit facilities, net of other contractual commitments, of at least 10% of the contract value. The bidder must provide information on the total monetary value of civil construction works performed for each of the last five years. The bidder must also demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts. The required prior work experience for technical personnel includes: A. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: Minimum 20 years of experience, with 5 years of experience in handling large road work projects. B. Degree Holder in Civil Engineering: Minimum 5 years of experience. C. Diploma holder in Civil Engineering: Minimum 2 years of experience. D. Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering: Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance of plant and machinery. E. Surveyor: Minimum 2 years of experience. The percentage of similar works completed is one-third of the estimated cost of work for which the bid is invited. The amount of similar works completed should be at least the amount equal to the estimated cost of works for which the bid has been invited. The bidder should have a minimum of 10% of the contract value as liquid assets and/or credit facilities.
