GAIL Gas Limited Tender

Drilling holes (approx. 5 cm width & approx. 250 cm depth) on concrete / paved road/Bituminous Road or any other kind of Road/area for survey purposes (Min 3 m interval between two consecutive Drilled holes) including Liasioning/permissions with/from all concerned authorities or persons for drilling holes This line item includes but not limited to the Following activities to be executed by Contractor/Bidder: Drilling holes will be required if identified during the Pre-Assessment step. Liaisoning for obtaining permissions from Concerned Authorities or Personnel for drilling holes, will be in scope of Contractor/Bidder. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents.

ICDA Indirect Inspection for 2.5 Km ICDA Indirect Inspection - inclusive of Internal Corrosion Predictive Modelling (ICPM) for predicting liquid hold-up, predicting solid hold-up and for calculating corrosion rates ICDA Indirect Inspection will include but not limited to Following activities to be executed by Contractor/Bidder: a. Prediction of historical uniform corrosion rates under normal operating conditions b. Calculation of pressure change, and temperature drop along the line c. Prediction of pH value at each pipeline sub-region d. Calculation of pitting corrosion rates as a function of solids deposition, liquid deposition and utilizing SME experience in the field of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) e. Calculation of wall loss % for flowing and shut-in scenarios f. Sensitivity tests of operational parameters with respect to general corrosion rates w.r.t amount of water g. Assessment of localized pitting corrosion. Where applicable, calculation of: i. Liquid and Solid hold-up ii. Critical angles for water accumulation and solids accumulation iii. Critical velocity for water accumulation and solids accumulation

h. Assessment of top-of-line corrosion (where applicable) w.r.t to: 1. Water dew point calculation 2. Hydrocarbon dew point calculation i. Assessment of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion records associated with the pipeline j. Assessment of erosion occurring in the pipeline k. Assessment of corrosion due to oxygen occurring in the pipeline l. Excavation for Direct Inspection Excavation for Direct Inspection (8" pipeline) for ECDA, ICDA and SCCDA including Liaisoning/permissions with/from all concerned authorities for excavation. Excavation for Direct Inspection (8" pipeline) for ECDA, ICDA and SCCDA including Liaisoning/permissions with/from all concerned authorities for excavation. Liaisoning with whomsoever (personnel or Authority), to obtain permission for Excavation, will be in Scope of Contractor/Bidder. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents.

Surface Preparation for Inspection Surface Preparation for Inspection including removal of old coating (if required). Pipe Surface will be developed using emery paper or any other suitable material as per Standard Engineering Practice, before application of Recoating. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents.

Direct Examination Inspection

Please refer Scope of Work, Special Conditions of Contract and other Tender Documents for Detail. Recoating Material supply with Installation Supply and Installation/applying of New Coating Material, will be in Scope of Contractor.

Backfilling and Restoring ROw in original Backfilling of Excavated portion of road/ground, will be in Scope of Contractor. Reinstatement/Restoration of ROW of Pipeline in its Original Condition, will also be in Scope of Contractor. Liaisoning for any permission associated with Backfilling or Restoration will be in Scope of Contractor. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents.

Post assessment Final Report Post Assessment Final Report will be submitted by Contractor. Please refer SCC, SOW and Other Tender Documents of this Contract

Coating Defect Identification on 3 locations. Coating Defect Identification and Repair, on three locations on GAIL Gas Firozabad Pipeline as per details (co-ordinates) which will be provided by Gail Gas Firozabad and it will include holiday testing for coating defect identification, old defective coating removal, coating material supply and application and submission of Report. These locations are on GAIL GAS Firozabad Pipeline but are different from 2.5 km long pipeline to be assessed. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents.

Excavation and Backfilling for SOR 12 Excavation and Backfilling including coordination/Liaisoning/permission with concerned authorities for excavation, backfilling and restoration/reinstatement of service road (paved/bituminous/concrete or any type of road) to original condition on above mentioned three different locations (in SOR 12 where co-ordinates will be provided by Gail Gas Firozabad) other than 2.5 km pipeline. Above mentioned all the works will be done by Bidder/Contractor. Contractor (unless otherwise specified) in all the SORs of this Contract, will mean Eligible Bidder or awardee of Contract. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents.

Supply of Cold Tape for SOR 12 Supply of Cold Tape for SOR item 12 and SOR item 13. This SOR item is to be read in Conjunction with Special Conditions of Contract, Scope of Work and Other Tender Documents. Measurement Unit M refers to running Metre of Pipe. For example, 5 M in this SOR item means appropriate Quantity of coating Material required to cover 5 Meter length of Pipe as per applicable standards and as per Sound Engineering Practices.
