Emergency mobilisation of team comprising adequate skilled & unskilled manpower and machinery, tools & tackles, etc. as applicable for providing services for jointing of underground MDPE pipeline size 20-125 mm dia. in case of any damage resulting in gas leakage including excavation, squeezing the pipeline, cutting, preparing and fusion welding the fittings, leak test, backfilling and complete restoration of site to its original condition in all respect. The work includes deployment of machineries like JCB, de-watering pump, Fusion Welding Machine, etc. in all type of surface such as normal soft surface, hard surface, RCC pavement, etc. The contractor shall also ensure barricading of site, public handling, etc. The supply of all materials (except MDPE pipe fittings) shall be in the scope of contractor. MDPE Pipes & MDPE Fittings will be supplied by GAIL Gas. The readiness and availability of team with all resources to be ensured as early as possible or within 04 hrs. after intimation from EIC. This SOR item is based on per incident basis.

PIPELINE LAYING / INSTALLATION (CARBON STEEL PIPES)

Receiving and taking over as defined in the specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied 3-Layer PE coated line pipes alongwith associated fittings and valves from Owner's designated stock-yard(In Agra City Gate Station /FZD CGS/Bharatpur Stores/Kosi Stores - as mentioned in scope of work) to Contractor's stock yard / workshop / work-site including preliminary activities, preparation of drawings, wherever required for crossing etc. including handling, stacking, stringing on the pipe line Right-of-Use / pipeline route alignment, carrying out inspection of company supplied materials including line pipes at the time of taking over, laying / installation of coated line pipes, associated fittings and accessories ( including Elbows/bends/Valves/IJ/Flanges/ Reducers/Tees, etc. the supply part is separate), including execution of all works, "taking over", handling, including loading and unloading, arrangement of all additional lands required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction, procurement and supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials), consumables (such as Gaskets of required size/Nut-Bolts/studs/Flanges if required etc), equipment, labour and other inputs, carrying out all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works, ready for commissioning of pipeline as per drawings, specifications, other provisions of Contract document and instructions of Engineer-in-charge, including but not limited to carrying out the following works. However, the above ground pipe line laying /installation /erection works may be considered through Mechanical Works, if additional.Checking, cleaning, aligning, bending, cutting and bevelling (as required) of pipes for welding and field adjustments including pipe fittings, welding, carrying out NDT of welds as required including 100% radiography by X-Ray / Gamma Ray as per Specification in piping of all types (sizes/thickness/schedule) by an Approved Vendor with all relevent Competent Supporting Documents (interpretation of NDT by Owner's Appointed/Approved Third Party) and providing all requisite equipment, labour, supervision, materials, films, consumables, all facilities and personnel to process, develop, examine and interpret radiographs and other tests as required, carrying out repairs of weld joints found defective, carrying out re-radiography and other tests as required on repaired joints etc. as mentioned in Special Condition of Contract (SCC) & Particular Job Specification. Line pipe laying & installation with radiography by X-ray/Gamma Ray. Installation of carrier line pipe at all crossings viz road, cartrack, pathway, drain, nallah & minor water crossings etc. at designated depth by open cut (including laying of casing pipe) (except at HDD / moling / Boring cased crossings which is covered separately elsewhere in this SOR).Protective coating including supply of coating & other materials duly approved by owner for all piping valves, fittings, structural steels etc. for buried installation and inside the valve pit.

Carrying out air cleaning, pigging, flushing, cleaning and hydrostatic testing of complete pipeline with required quantity of corrosion inhibitor including pre-testing of designated sections complete as per specification and approved by Engineer-In-Charge to specified pressures indicated elsewhere and duration after stabilization as per specification, providing all equipment, pumps, fittings, instruments, ( if required Dead Weight Tester, Pressure Recorder, Thermocouples etc. also) and services, supervision, labour, consumables, water including supply of corrosion inhibitor, air, etc. as required, locating of leaks and rectification of defect attributable to Contractor (rectification of defects in linepipe material not attributable to contractor shall be paid separately as per other item of schedule of rate), re-testing after rectification, dewatering after successful completion of hydrotesting of entire section and as approved by Engineer-in-Charge. Complete commissioning of the laid pipe line after filling Nitrogen ( inert atmosphere) and as per standard procedures approved by the Third Party / Consultant / authorized representative of GAIL Gas as per instruction of EIC. All the site requirement or consumables are included in the scope of contractor and the decision of EIC will be final in any case. Complete back filling OR restoration of the trench loose soil or digged soil ( throughout the pipe line lenth ) to be back filled as normal and final clean up of the area up to the satisfaction of Consultant/GAIL Gas /EIC and the reports are to be submitted, however if the additional work is invoved in restoration that is to be paid extra if needed.

Instead of Hook-up with existing pipeline the work may involve Removing existing Leak Repair Clamp by Cutting damaged pipe piece out & Replacement with welding of 1 M (approx.) CS Pipe including Hydrotesting & Transportation of the CS Pipe piece from GAIL Gas' Stores at Firozabad Kosi & Cutting, Beveling, NDT, etc. Note: Above work may involve Inertization & purging of the pipeline section with Nitrogen prior to start of welding work and payment will be made separately as per respective SOR Item. Wherever applicable dismantling of existing structures such as RCC drain, etc is to be done without stopping the flow of water by making alternative arrangement for water flow till completion of work and reconstruction of the dismantled structure. The rate to include necessary arrangement for maitaining water flow. Payment for Dismantling and Reconstruction will be made separately through respective SOR Items.

Disconnection of existing CS pipeline: Excavation of pit suitable for work, disconnection of existing connectvity upto 4" size of CS line during shut down (to be arranged by owner) from the main/branch line by cold cutting, capping/plugging by End Cap of requisite size (to be provided by owner) through welding, its NDT including supply of all manpower, machineries & nitrogen gas for local purging etc. The work shall also include removal of above ground pipe spool, fittings (size upto 4"), TLP etc. from the premises of consumer and its shifting to GAIL Gas designated stores /yard as per instruction of EIC. The pipeline piece which can not be recovered shall be dealt as unusable. (However, the above ground disconnection is to be treated as normal joint.)

PAINTING ON STEEL STRUCTURES/ SKIDS/aboveground piping: Painting of Steel Structures / Skids/ aboveground piping after surface preparation which are situated at various locations of city. Scope includes removal of dust, grease and loosely adhering paint with wire brush, emery paper and cleaning with linen cloth. Primer shall be high solid polyamine cured epoxy one. Finish coat should be of epoxy paint of approved brand such as Burger/Narolac/Asian Paints. Colour as per instruction of EIC.
