Road Marking with Hot Applied Thermoplastic Compound with Reflectorislng Glass Beads on Bituminous Surface. Providing and laying of hot applied lhermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick lncluding reflectorising glass beads 0? 250 grns per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is excluslve of surface applied glass beads as per lRCi35-20'15 The flnished surface to be level. un form and free from slreaks and holes. Reflective Raised Pavement Markers (Cat Eye/ Road Stud) Supply and flxing of raised pavement marker with Made of Plastic body of RPIMi Road Stud shall be moulded from ASA (Acrylic Styrene Acrylonitrile) or HIPS (High-lmoact Polystyrene) or Acryloniilrile Butadien Styrene (ABS) or Any oiher suitable malerial approved by the Engineer. The Marker shall support a load of 13,635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280.The Reflective panels shall consist of number of lenses containing single or dual prismatic cubes capable of providing total internal reflection of the lighl entring the lens face. Lenses shall be mouled of methyl melhecrylate conforming io ASTM D78B of equivalent The slop or retro-reflecting surface shall preferably be 35+1-5 degree to base and the area of each relro _reflecling sllrface shall not be less than 13.00 sq.cm the marker height shall not be less lhan 10 mm and shall nol exceed 20 mm & Width shall not exceed 130 mm. The base of the marker shall be flal within 1.3 mm all road studs shall be legibly marked wilh the name , lrade or other means of identification of the manufacture. epoxy lnslallations, excess adhesive around the edge of the malker, excess adheslve on the pavemenl and adhesive on the exposed surfaces of the markers shall be immedialely removed. The contractor shall submit a two year warranty for sal sfactory lleld peformance including stipulated retro-refleclance of the reflecting panel , to the Engineer . ln addition a two year warranty for salisfactory infield perfonnance of the finished road marker shall also be given by lhe conlractor who carries out the work of fixing of reflective road ma*ers. ln case the markers are displaced , damaged . gel worn out or lose their reflectivity compared lo stipulated standards , the contractor would be reqLllred to replace allsuch markers within 15 days ofthe inlimation from the Engineer. at his own cost The rate shall include all materlals, labour, T&P, transportalion, insiallation and incidentals all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge. Installation work shall be as per relevant clauses of MORT&H specification section 800 and IRC 67 2012 complete In all respect. The Rates shall include cost of design, fabrication, supply, transportations, Local shifting Erection of Signage structure using crane. inclusive of all taxes etc. all T&P machine, material and labour required for proper completion of work as per direction of Engineer-in charge. Retro-ReflectiveSheeting type-XI with 4 mm thick ACM Single Sido Providing & fixing of reflective signs with a corrosion resistant 4 mm thick with 0.4 to 0.5 mm both side aluminium skin aluminium composite panel face to be fully covered with High Intensity prismatic sheeting type IV as per IRC-67:2012 retro reflective sheeting with back frame MS angle of 35x35x5 mm. Legends, letters, numerals and borders etc should be as per MORTH specification No- 801.3.7 The sheeting shall have a pressure sensitive adhesive of the aggressive tack type requiring no heat solvent other preparation for adhesion to a smooth clean surface, in a manner recommended by the sheeting manufacturer. The ACM (Aluminium Composite Materials) shall be fixed on the Back frame MS Angle with riveting. Micro prismatic type IV Retro reflective sheeting confirming to ASTM D4956-09 shall be Pressure fixed. The Retro reflective sheeting shall be tested for a certificate of having the sheeting tested for coefficient of retro reflection, daytime colour and luminance, shrinkage, flexibility, liner removal, adhesion, impact resistance, specular gloss and fungus resistance. 3 years outdoor weathering and Its having passed these tests shall be obtained from International/Government Laboratory! Institute by the manufacturer of the sheeting and in case the certificate Is obtained from International condition, it should also be obtained from Indian condition within 3 years of launching of product by the manufacture in abroad. Alternatively, a certificate conforming to ASTM Specification (D 4958-09) on artificial accelerated weathering requirements from a reputed laboratory in India can be accepted provisionally. In such a situation, the Employer/Client, if so desires, could seek for a performance guarantee which would be released after receipt of certificate meeting the requirement of three years outdoor weathering of the sheeting as per IRC 67:2012 & Proof of the same Report shall be uploaded which quoting tender. The rate shall include all materials, labour, T&P, transportation, installation and incidentals all complete as per direction of the Engineer-In-Charge (CH-28 Item No. 12 SOR 2023-24)
