Renovation of Toilets, Providing internal Painting;Providing water profing treatment to the existing toilets (sunken slabs) with the following steps. 1) The existing slab shall be cleared with all debries and bringing to its mother salb and cleaning the slab surface to neat surface 2) RCC Slab (Sunken slab) / RCC floor and sunken slab) should be prepared with plasterin in CM (1:4) prop., 12 mm thick with required slope by incorporting with an intergral water proofing compound having plasticizing action i.e., conproof IWC/ Nitoseal PU 400 integral water proofing compound or any other to obtain a dense watertight concrete. 3) Providing Joing Sealing: A joint / Groove is to be made with 10 mm wide X 10mm deep size in between the corner of RCC sunken slab wall and the sunken slab bottom and filled with Bonding sealant B-Dry SBR 295 alround the sunken portion. 4) Ployflex WP Flexible Water Proofing coating application: The concrete slab should be coated with two coats of B-Dry Polyflex WP water proofing coat after proper, cleaning and surface preparation of the slab with a slurry using 1 Ltr of Polyflex WP with 1.25 Kg of micro cement or OPC by weight with 1/2 Litre water (1 Litre : 1.25 Kg :1/2 Litre) (Polyflex : Mirco Cement : Water) for the first coat in vertical direction and 2nd coat in horizantal direction on the slab with a gap of 24 hours. The mixing is best done using a low speed stirrer or continuous hand mixing to a lump free sonsistency and damp the surface by sprinking water before the application of Polyflex WP cement slurry with a brush to the damp surface. 5) Sealing Mesh : A sealng mesh / Fibre mesh is to be provided in between the two layers of Polyflex coating. The above water proofing treatment has to be carried out with the exprts in Water proofing Treatment agencies and the item includes all labour charges, curring cost and conveyance of all meterials, taxes etc., complete for the finished item of work as directed by the Department.
