Repairs to potholes of depth exc 30mm deep and not exc 1sq m each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth making good by applying tack coat @ 5kg/10sqm, putting in premixed bituminous mecadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 kg per 10sqm, blinded with 0.09cum of stone chippings, 6.3mm size and again well rammed(including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings) uging paving bitument VG-30 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing existing/ New black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with gunny bages to remove all loose dirt and applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using 5 Kg/ 10 Sqm using paving bitumen over existing black top surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying and consolidating bituminous premixed semi-dense asphaltic concrete 30 mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% binder content using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 penetration by weight of total mix laid using mechanical paver, rolled and compacted by using power vibrator roller 8 to 12 tonne capacity to required camber and gradient including preparing the bituminou macadam surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bag to remove loose dirts etc. and applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen @ 5 Kg per 10 Sq.m using paving bitumen VG 30 complete all as specified and directed. Note: (i) For design purpose min. binder content is specified as 5.5% for VG-30 grade bitumen and it shall not be brought down under any circumstances. During design stage if binder content exceeds 4% no extra payment shall be made to contractor for excess use of binder. (ii) Levels to be taken (jointly by contractor and AGE) before and after laying of bituminous macadam.
