Providing new safety ladder arrangements from the floor level to the operating platform as per the following specification. The ladder shall be of appropriate height the Road deck bridge to gantry platform The main stiles at both ends shall be 600mm apart and made up of 100x50mm MS channels. They shall be connected in between with treads of size 600x230mm. The tread outer frame shall be made of 35x35x5mm MS angles and composite chequered plate of 6mm thickness shall be fastened to the top of the tread frame. This tread shall be welded to the stiles on either side. The treads shall be spaced onebelow the other at a distance 250mm from each other. Handrails shall be provided with 1" GI Pipe. Verticals for handrails shall be made of 75x75x6mm Ms angle fixed to the 100x50mm Ms Channel and spaced at 1000mm apart. 1" holes shall be drilled at two appropriate places in the vertical to accomdate 1" GI pipe for Handrail. The whole ladder shall be supported from the rear with 75x40MS Channel from the concrete columns. The bottom of the ladder shall be buried in concrete. The top of the ladder shall be welded to the operating platform. All members shall be given a coat of mastic primer over which two coats of polyurethane aluminium paint shall be given. The cost includes cost of all materials, process charges like gas cutting, welding, machining, scaffolding charges, labour charges for dismantling, loading, lifting, unloading, transport, erection, labour charges for equipments like winch arrangements, power charges from generator, risk allowance for working at a depth of more than 3m, conveyance to site and clearing them after completion of work, insurance etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing a shed to accommodate labour during rain and shine in spillway deck bridge as per the following specification. The deck bridge is of total length more than 32.50 m and hence during operation & maintenance a protected shed arrangements are needed to safeguard the workers from being drenched. The main vertical post along the periphery of the platform shall be made of 2 1/2” dia MS pipe with a height of 600 mm in upstream side and 300 mm in downstream side and at an interval of 2000 mm from each other. A Gusset plate made of 8 mm MS plate and size 200x160 mm shall be provided at the bottom end for connecting the vertical stanchions to the deck bridge channel by means of bolts and nuts. The rafters shall be made of 75x75x6 mm angle of length 3200 mm along the width of the deck bridge. The ends shall be bolted connections with vertical stanchions. The Purlin shall be made of 75x40 mm rectangle tubes. They shall be 4 in nos at a equidistant from each other. The ends of Purlin shall be closed. Cleat angles shall be fabricated and appropriate holes shall be drilled in the cleat angle and matching holes in rafter for bolted joints. Colour coated corrugate colour profile sheets shall be provided for roofing . All MS surfaces shall be manually cleaned and applied with 2 coats of aluminium paint over a coat of zinc chromate enamel primer as directed by the departmental officers. The cost includes cost of all materials, process charges like gas cutting, welding, machining, scaffolding charges, labour charges for dismantling, loading, lifting, unloading, transport, erection, labour charges for equipments like crane, chain pulley block, power charges from generator, conveyance to site and clearing them after completion of work including cost of trial operation, warranty for 5 years except protective coating , etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing protection arrangements to the hoisting components in the vents of the additional spillway vent Hoist bridge as per the following specification. The main vertical posts along the periphery of the platform shall be made of ISA 75x75x6 mm to a height of 2500 mm at an upstream side and 2200 mm at an upstream side and at an interval of 2000 mm from each other . The connecting members at the top of the vertical posts shall also be made of ISA 75x75x6 mm. This assembly shall be fitted to the existing deckbridge with bolts and nuts of appropriate size. The horizontal members along the periphery shall be at an interval of 230 mm C/C and made up of 3/4” GI pipe 20 mm Ø holes shall be drilled at 230 mm C/C in the vertical members and the GI pipe shall be inserted in to the vertical members through the holes. Weldmesh of size 55x30 mm and 2.50 mm thick shall be welded in a MS frame of appropriate size made with 25x25x5 mm MS flats for the entire height of 2200 mm. This protective weldmesh frames shall be welded to the sides of new structure. The purlin shall be provided at an top portion over the connecting members. They shall be 4 in nos at a equidistant from each other. The ends of purlin shall be closed. Cheat angles shall be fabricated and appropriate holes shall be drilled in the cleat angle and matching holes in rafter for bolted joints. Colour coated corrugate colour profile sheets shall be provided for roofing. All steel members shall be mechanically cleaned and give a coat of Zinc chromate enamel primer. Then, two coats of aluminium shall be applied over the primer. Special Repairs to the canal sluice shutter as per the following specification. The existing platform shall be opened and the existing shutter of size 1415x1450mm shall be lifted with chain pulley block. The shutter shall be rendered immovable with the chain pulley block and the pin shall be removed from the lifting plate. The released suspension channel shall be lifted and kept separately for reuse. The shutter shall then again lifted and rested in the resting platform. The wheels in the shutter shall be now removed and brought to factory for service. The wheels shall be openedup and existing bearings/bushes shall be removed and cleaned. The wheel surface shall be machined true to required size so that it shall operate smoothly without vibration and without undergoing undue drift. The wheel shall be cleaned of all dirt, dust, corrosion and then the bushes shall be fixed inside the wheels. Then the wheels shall be fixed to the shutter at appropriate place. The shutter shall then be cleaned of corrosive particles and then a coat of coal tar epoxy is applied over a coat of primer as directed by the departmental officers. Then the shutter is lowered to the sill level and the suspension channel is refixed to the lifting plate with the pin. The suspension channel shall also be cleaned of corrosive particles and a coat of coal tar epoxy shall be applied over a coat of primer. The screw rod shall then be connected to the suspension channel and trial operation is conducted. The cost includes cost of all materials, process charges like gas cutting, welding, machining, scaffolding charges, labour charges for dismantling, loading, lifting, unloading, transport, erection, labour charges for equipments like crane, chain pulley block, power charges from generator, risk allowance for working at a depth of more than 3m, conveyance to site and clearing them after completion of work including cost of trial operation, etc., complete and as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewal & refixing of wirerope of the following specification. The existing broken wirerope is unwound from the rope drum and removed from the rope locking plate & stacked as directed by the departmental officers. A new rope as per IS 2266 is provided in place of the old damaged rope. The rope is 6 strand with steel core bright or ungalvanised C flattened strand winding rope 6 x 36 with nominal diameter 20mm and wire strength 1770 N/mm2. The sheave groove is ensured that is is supporting the rope for 33% of its circumference as greater contact area between the rope & the pulley reduces abrasion & enhances service life. The spooling/anchorage of rope on drum should be proper as improper spooling induces torque in rope, reducing the rope life. The end of rope is fixed to the locking plate provided in the drum. The cost includes cost of rope, Labour charges, transport, erection, etc, complete.

Fabrication, supply and installation for centre hoist cover by using composite panels of thickness 3mm made as a single unit as per the drawing. The composite cover shall be spaced in such a way to resist bending with inherent stiffeners provided. A lifting handle in steel/composite material shall also be incorporated.
