Box type water proofing treatment to settling tank, dosing tank and other underground structures from out side at all depths below average ground level by providing water proofing treatment with cement mortar mixed with water proofing compound of suitable thickness in layers (over the cement concrete 1:3:6 bedding already laid) and finishing with a layer of rough shahabad stone of about 20 mm thick, pointing the joints with cement mortar mixed with water proofing compound etc., complete for the base and for external faces of side walls, applying a layer of cement mortar mixed with water proofing compound, fixing rough shahabad stone of about 20 mm thick, pointing the joints with cement mortar mixed with water proofing compound, finishing with a layer of cement mortar mixed with water proof compound and continuing the treatment to height above the ground level including cleaning, scaffolding, curing, etc., complete as per the specifications of specialized agency and as directed but excluding cost of cementconcrete 1:3:6 bedding. The total thickness of treatment shall be about 70 mm for base and about 40 mm for side walls. Note:
1) The water proofing treatment is to be guaranteed for bone dry condition for 10 years as per the prescribed proformas.
2) Measurement shall be taken before commencement of treatment along the outer profile of the structure to be treated.
3) A working space of about 600 mm wide alround from the edge of the raft shall be provided and paid extra in the excavation for enabling specialized agency for treating external faces of side walls.
4) Tanks shall be tested for leak tightness prior to and after application of water proofing treatment.
