The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having satisfactorily completed BT or CC Road Work(s) of not less than 100% of the value put to tender under a “single agreement” in any one of the preceding three years for a Government Department/ Board/ Government Undertaking. Additionally, the bidder should have completed BT (or) BT and CC Road Work(s) of not less than 50% of the value put to tender under a “single agreement” in any one of the preceding three years. The bidder should also have at least five years of experience in the civil engineering construction field. The value and percentage of similar works completed should be enclosed as proof. The annual minimum financial turnover of not less than 100% of the Estimate Amount in a financial year in the preceding three years is also required. The bidder should have working capital sufficient to finance at least 15% of the Estimate Amount. For technical personnel, the experience required is 5 years for B.E Civil (or) equivalent Degree holder and 2 years for Diploma holders in Civil Engineering. The bidder should not have abandoned any work of similar nature and magnitude in India during the last five years and should not have had any contracts terminated due to breach of contract on their part during the last five years. The bidder is required to pay an amount equivalent to 2% of the Estimate value, which includes 1% Earnest Money Deposit already paid, within 15 days from the receipt of the Letter of Acceptance.
