Carrying out technical activities pertaining to safety aspects in construction works being carried out at IGCAR Northern area and STC such as availability of PPE, safe barricading around the hazards and validation of the safety arrangements (safety net, scaffolding) and PPE at site. Providing PPE/Tool box, ensuring safety at height works, hot works, excavation works through work permits. Assisting in Height Pass Test & Safety Training programmes, preparation of Height Pass Training & Safety Induction Training cards for construction and maintenance workers. Checking the condition of ELCB, Material Handling Equipment, Scaffolding and Ladder through checklists. Conducting Physical Hazard Survey like noise and illumination level, ensuring the healthiness of fire extinguishers provided at site. Reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and details of contractor man hours and recording in the site register. Reporting near miss accidents, non reportable and reportable accidents in the construction works. Inspection of uncovered pits, floor edge openings, confined space, first aid box contents, electrical panel, etc., as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Carrying out day to day Data Entry Operation through personal computer with qualified computer professional and other related office works like generating reports, presentations and bar charts etc., using Power point/MS Word/MS Excel etc., and taking out Soft copy as well as Hard copies as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
