Cleaning and disinfection of RCC / PVC Over head water tanks upto a height of 2 metre by mechanized method with following operations in various stages including all tools, materials, fuel, labour, safety belts, helmets, safety shoes, safety goggles, gloves, closing / opening of the scour valve , removing / refixing the manhole cover in position , etc., all complete as per specifications at all lifts and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Cleaning process : 1) Dewatering wherever required for Over head tanks. 2) Sludge removal with sludge removal equipment and flush the floor of tank / sump. 3) Cleaning the walls , ceiling and floor of the tank / sump to remove all germs , bacteria and calcination by using High pressure rotary water jet cleaning equipment. 4) Vacuum cleaning with industrial vacuum cleaner to completely remove the dirt to make the tank / sump totally clean. 5) Sterlization / disinfecting the tank / sump by spraying a Biodegradable anti- bacterial spray of approved make and dilution shall be as per manufacturer instructions with rotary jet pumps. 6)Radiation treatment of the tank using UV radiation to completely destroy the all floating bacteria to make water tank / sump thoroughly clean . Duration of UV treatment shall be between 1 min to 10 mins depending on the size of tank as approved by Engineer-in- charge. Note: 1) Care and all precautionary measures shall be taken to avoid asphixation while cleaning . 2) Power required for operation of pumps and equipments will be provided at free of cost from Department supply. However contractor shall make their own arrangement to tap the supply from DB / Power points near by location. 3) The labourers engaged for cleaning the water storage tanks / Sintex tanks / reservoirs/ sumps shall obtain the medical certificate by DAE Hospital before attending the work.

Note: 1. The contractor shall engage technical personnel having Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma holder in Civil Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in Civil construction field activities with computer knowlegde using MS Office. 2. 8 Hours shift is considered as one operations.
