Collecting SPT and UDS samples by following IS codal provisions at specified intervals by using casing, rods, pipes, etc and storing in one litr / kg /glass/plastic jars at site serially depthwise, and transporting the same to laboratory immediately for conducting the relevant tests. Samples shall be logged with information such as bore hole no, date of collection, area, bed levels, coordinates etc, and as directed by Engineer in charge, which includes all labour and materials etc.

3 (c) Conducting Standard Penetration Test (SPT) and collecting disturbed Soil sample as per IS code of practice in all bore holes at 1.5 m interval upto a depth of 20m CD or upto a hard surface where SPT N values are shown Refusal successively two times, till the termination depth, whichever is earlier. Collecting disturbed soil samples from SPT samplers, furnishing the field test results, packing, preserving, transporting to the laboratory immediately etc., all complete as directed by the Engineer which includes all labour, tools, and plants. Note: During advancement /drilling of boreholes, incase, Sand layer is encountered and continuing below 5m, drilling shall be continued below 5m with SPTs/UDSs with 1m interval. In this regard the termination of borehole shall 10m or till encountering of sand layer, whichever is earlier.
