The bidder is required to have prior work experience in the Civil Engineering construction field for at least the past five years. They should have satisfactorily completed BT Road Work(s) of not less than 50% of the value put to tender under a single agreement in any one of the preceding three years for a Government Department/ Board/ Government Undertaking. The experience required for technical personnel under regular employment of the applicant is mentioned as 5 years for B.E Civil (or) equivalent Degree holder, and 2 years for Diploma holders in Civil Engineering. The value and percentage of similar works completed are mentioned as not less than 50% of the value put to tender. The retention amount of 2.5% will be recovered in the contractor's final bill, which will be released after completion of one year if no defects arise. The bidder should have an annual minimum financial turnover of not less than 50% of the value put to tender in a financial year in the preceding three years. They should also have working capital sufficient to finance at least 15% of the value put to tender.
