The bid capacity required in the given tender to bid can be calculated using the formula: Bid capacity = A x N x 1.5 - B Where: A = Maximum annual turnover in any one year during the last five years (updated to 2023-24 price level) N = Number of years prescribed for completion of the works for which bids are invited B = Value (updated at the current price level) of the existing commitments and ongoing works to be completed during the next 'N' years. Additionally, the bid capacity should be more than the total bid value. Alternative formulas based on the estimated cost (EC) of the project are:
1. Minimum Average Annual Turnover: 0.5 * EC
2. Minimum Working Capital: 0.3 * Tender Value The bid capacity required can also be expressed as:
- Average Annual Financial Turnover: 0.5 * Estimated Cost
- Working Capital: 0.3 * Estimated Cost
- Experience in Similar Works: - For three works: 0.4 * Estimated Cost (total for all three works) - For two works: 0.5 * Estimated Cost (total for both works) - For one work: 0.8 * Estimated Cost Note that the exact estimated cost is required to calculate a precise numerical value for the bid capacity.

The required prior work experience for the bidder can be demonstrated by one of the following:
- Two similar completed works, with a minimum value of Rs. 205.75 Lakhs each, excluding GST.
- Alternatively, one similar completed work with a minimum value of Rs. 329.20 Lakhs, excluding GST, which is equal to 80% of the estimated cost.
- Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost.
- Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost.
- One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost.
Specifically, the required prior work experience can be either of the following:
- Three similar completed works costing not less than 40% of the estimated cost, with a minimum value of Rs. 164.6 Lakhs (excluding GST) per work.
- Two similar completed works costing not less than 50% of the estimated cost, with a minimum value of Rs. 205.75 Lakhs (excluding GST) per work.
- One similar completed work costing not less than 80% of the estimated cost, with a minimum value of Rs. 329.20 Lakhs (excluding GST). The bidder should have successfully completed similar building works during the last five years.
