Retro - Fitting Works Methodology Severity - High (External Spalling or Hollowness found on the surface, Beams, Columns Ceiling and walls) a. Remove the plastering wherever there is dampness/spalling/hollowness in the surface completely using hacking tools and the surface to be free from dust, laitance, oil, grease, algae, fungus and any other foreign material, prior to application. b. Removing the existing deteriorated reinforcement and supply and placing of new rebars of 10 mm diameter including cutting, bending and straightening and placing in position complete in all levels and if necessary, welding the new bars with the existing Rods by over lapping with all lead and lift etc. complete (If the rebar is corroded more than 35% of its original size) c. Providing and applying Epoxy Zinc Rich Primer and mixing mechanically until it is homogenous and applying the same as one rich coat on reinforcement complete with all lift etc. complete. (If corrosion found on rebars) d. Providing and applying a coat of two-part solvent free epoxy resin-based Bonding Agent on the wall at rate of 2-3 Sqm/kg inside the cracks. e. Providing and applying plastering on the walls using polymer modified plaster with CM 1:4 admixed with SBR Latex or equivalent or equivalent @ 2 kg per bag of cement with suitable quantity of clean water (All chemicals shall be used from Pidilite or equivalent brand)
