REMOVING OF CONTROL /SHUTOFF VALVES: Removal of Control valves / Shutoff valves of all types like Globe, Plug, Ball, Butterfly and Angle Valve , flange rating are 150 / 300 / 600/ 900/ 1500/2500RF / RTJ from process line. The activity involves de-pressurizing the valve by opening the dummy flanges in Drain/Vent, Removing the Stud nuts and dropping the valve. The valve shall be safely transported to Workshop or designated place within Refinery-III . The contractor shall be responsible for deploying suitable tools and tackles for valve removal and suspending mechanism (Chain Pulley Blocks, hooks etc) while removing the valve from process line . The contractor may hire Hydra crane / 20 Ton Crane for valve removal from higher elevations and use trailer/ tractor to transport the valve to designated locations. Hiring of crane and trailer shall be a separate activity and shall be done after getting EIC Concurrence. The contractor shall also carry out minor gas cutting &welding for structural fabrication to remove the valves from congested location due to pipeline fouling. Contractor to Handover / Preservation of removed accessories, gasket, bolts etc and carry out house keeping of the workplace.
