Execution of Roof Treatment work at Regional Center Building of Bharatpur

Providing and laying Water proofing treatment with thermal insulation having thickness of 2.5-3.0 mm over the existing R.C.C. Roof by as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge and consisting of : (i) Cleaning and washing of the existing roof including removing of loose material from the surface of cracks. (ii) Widening and deepening of cracks to fill the approved Crack filler as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) Application of one coat of approved by Engineer-in-charge with following specification or equivalent compound @ 0.17 litres per square meter with required amount of water with the application with soft brush as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. (iv) Application of mesh approved by Engineer in charge ( made up of Glass Fiber, Woven structure of Leno make, reinforcing with alkali resistant coating having 10 x 10 mesh size, weight / sqm is 90 gm to 120 gm and of 0.25 mm thickness including Resin content ( % ) : 18% ) or equivalent and then application of coat of sealing compound approved by Engineer in charge with specifications as narrated above, without use of water @ 0.33 litre per square meter with brush and drying of surface for 24 hours as per direction of Engineer in charge. (v) Application of one base coat of water proofing compound as per direction of Engineer in charge @ 0.75 kg per square meter with adding sufficient water to make the paste consistent as per direction of Engineer in charge. Then drying the surface for 24 hours and then application of final coat of water proofing compound @ 1.25 kg per square size meter adding sufficient water to make the paste consistent with trowel and making of square size 300 mm x 300 mm if required as per direction of Engineer in charge. (vi) Application of one coat of water repellent compound as approved by Engineer in charge @ 0.3 litres per square meter with soft brush complete in all respect up to satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge. (vii) The Contractior has to complete the work upto satisfication narrated above. The work should execute the work upto satisfaction of engineer in charge. Also the contractor has to check & maintion the treated roof for 5 years including the water tightness & thermal insulation by decresing temperature in the range of 8-10 degree c during peak summers from surroundings and maintain room temperature during winters.

(i) Providing and laying three coats of approved cool coating as per direction of engineer-in-charge over the existing R.C.C. Roof / AC sheet roof/GI sheet roof to reduce the inside temperature in the range of 8-10 degree c during peak summers from surroundings and maintain room temperature during winters as per specification given below and consisting of :- (a) Cleaning and washing of the existing roof including removing of loose material from the surface of roof. (b) Application of one base coat of approved cool coating as per direction of Engineer-in-charge having specification enclosed below and application @ 0.1 litre per squre meter. The paste will form with water having cool solution : water in a ratio of 1 : 0.5 (1 liter cool solution : 0.5 Ltr. water) as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (C) Application of second coat of approved cool coating having specification as mentioned above @ 0.1 ltr. per squre mtr. The paste will form with water having cool solution : water in ration of 1 : 0.5 (1 liter cool solution : 0.5 ltr. water) as per direction of Engineer in charge. (d) Application of final coat of approved cool coating having specification as mentioned above @ 0.1 ltr. Per square mtr. The paste will form with water having cool solution : Water in ratio of 1 : o.5 (1 liter cool solution : 0.5 ltr. Water) as per direction of Engineer in charge. The contractor has to complete the work as per specification narrated above and should execute the work upto satisfaction of Engineer in charge. Also the contractor has to check and maintain the treated roof for 5 years including the water lightness and thermal insulation by decreasing temperature in the range of 8-10 degree centigrade during peak summers from surroundings and maintain room temperature during winters.
