Making the reference posts for curves, LWR, Creep, points & crossing etc. of required 3 size from the Railway's unserviceable rails, transportation to site, painting (one coat of red oxide and two coats of enamel paint) and fixing in concrete of suitable size along the track with contractor's own paints, tools & plants, equipments, consumables, labourers etc. inclusive of excavation, concreting all lift and lead, transportation arrangements, taxes etc. complete as per special conditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Making the reference posts for curves, LWR, Creep, points & crossing, SEJ, Level Crossing,Detonator post etc. of required size from the Railway's unserviceable rails, transportation to site, painting (one coat of red oxide and two coats of enamel paint as directed by Engineer in Charge) and fixing in concrete ofsuitable size along the track with contractor's own paints, tools & plants, equipments, consumables, labourers etc.inclusive of excavation, concreting all lift and lead, transportation arrangements, taxes etc. complete as per specialconditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note:- Excavation of foundation and concreting in foundation will be paid separately under relevant USSOR items. This item will not operate for new SEJ

Distressing of LWR/ CWR track 60 Kg/52 Kg /90R using rail tensor/manually as per the methodology given in LWR Manual, 1996 (with up to date corrections) with all labour and T & P of the contractorunder the supervision of competent railway official. The rates include cutting of LWR / CWR 4 into panels of convenient length, removing the fittings, distressing of the long rail panel, refixing of the distressed panel, adjustment of the gaps at SEJ, placement of the reference posts at SEJ to correct position, oiling- greasing of SEJ, ERCs and other incidental works as directed by the Engineer in charge or his authorized representative. Note: Tensor, if available with the railways may be given to the contractor on hire charges @ Rs.2000/- per day.However, it shall not be binding upon the railway to provide the same and the contractor shall have no excuse on this account.

Through Rail Renewal of BG running track 60Kg / 52 Kg / 90R on PSC Sleeper1540 /1660 nos per KM by 60Kg / 52 Kg Rails in panel up to 10/20 Rail panel by manually with contractors own tools and equipment as per IRPWM. This will include dismantling of existing Rail 60Kg / 52 Kg / 90R in SR/SWR /LWR including lead, loading, unloading and proper placing of released Rails upto a distance of 150m as per direction of Engineer-incharge, pulling/ pairing of Rails including leading of 10/20 Rail panel up to 150m, recoupment of missing / defective fitting and removing jammed ERC if required and greasing of ERCs etc. complete. All new/released fittings will be lead by contractor at his 5 own cost from SSE/JE(C) P.Way store or any other nominated suitable place to site of work and vice versa as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. Nothing shall be paid extra forleading of new panels up to 150m. This will also include adjusting of sleepers at new joint of panel at the specified spacing, squaring of sleepers, aligning, surfacing and correcting cross levels, gauging, attention to sleepers at fish plated locations, repacking of joints sleepers and to achieve the desired track parameters and make gooddressing of disturbed ballast during laying of panels as a complete job. Note: (a) Fitting / fastening will be issuedfree of cost by Railway. (b) Leading of released Rails beyond 150m as per direction of Engineer-in charge shall bepaid separately under relevant items. (c ) Rail panels should be paired /pulled in such a way that no Rail joint ATor Flash butt lie on any PSC Sleeper. If there found any joint lying or touching PSC sleeper, The PSC sleepersshould be so spaced and adjusted that the joint does not fall on sleepers. In case the work is done in non runningline/ during mega traffic block.

Supplying, fabricating and erecting in position dead ends, including two coats of painting as per approved drawing as directed by Engineer-in-charge with contractors own labour, 6 consumable, plant, equipment and machinery. Rails and fishplates, bolts and nuts will be supplied by Railways free of cost. The rates shall be inclusive of carting of rails from and within respective station yard & fishplates, bolts and nuts from SSE/P.Way depot at nominated place Carting of rails from any other station/ mid-section shall be payable under relevant item.

Weighing of various scrap P. Way materials at different stations, various station in 7 depot SSE/C/Pway or any other nominated store for preparing lots for auction purpose e.g. CST-9 pots, ST sleepers, MG tie bars, small P. Way fittings, rail cut pieces less than 1.00 m, ACB plates, CBP or other plates which is required for weighing for auction lots, as per instructions of Engineer-in-charge with contractor tools, T&P, labours including all lead, lifts as per site conditions.

Fabrication of "IN SITU" Glued Insulated Joints of G-3 (L) type for 52 kg/60 kg rails as per RDSO drawing no.T-671/T-2572 and confirming to the specification as per instructions contained in manual for glued insulated rails joints. This item is inclusive of all fittings and accessories such as:- a.- Long fish plates. b.- H.T.S.bolts & nuts. c.- Punch washer. d.- Insulated bushes. e.- Insulated channels. f.- 6mm thick end posts. g.- Glue. h.- Hardner. i.- Glass cloth carrier and all the materials and fittings for cleaning and assembling excluding rail. j.- Anyother fittings and accessories required to fabricate "In situ Glued Joint" in all respect as per RDSO Drg. No. T-671/T-2572 and specification contained in manual for In situ glued joint. Note:- i) In -Situ glued joints shall bechecked for insulation as per Railways satisfaction. The glued joint should behave satisfactorily minimum upto 6(Six) months from date of laying. In case of any defects detected in this period, the glued joints shall have to bereplaced. Security money shall only be released after certification from Site in charge regarding satisfactorybehavior of all glued joints minimum upto six months from date of laying.

Loading and leading of stone ballast from the stacks and spreading / putting thereof into the track to make good the deficiency at different locations including all handling / rehandling, ascent, descent, crossing oftrack, nallah, dressing and boxing to make standard ballast profile with contractor's own labour, T & P and consumables, as per direction of Engineer in charge or his 9 authorized representative. Lead shall be measured along the alignment. The item includes Putting, spreading, dressing and boxing of the ballast as a complete item, for which nothing extra shall be paid.Notes:- 80% payment against this item will be made on putting the ballast in track as per required profile/in stages & 20% payment against this item will be made on dressing & boxing. In case contractor fails to complete boxing & dressing in some stretches as per required profile, than recovery @ Rs. 10per Rm of track shall be made.

Consolidation of track by one or more round of DGS track machine including all labour 10 for pre run, post run operation of DGS machine & tightening of fittings & fastenings etc. The diesel, cotton waste will be provided by the contractor and all other consumables and repair to machine will be arranged by Railway. Railways will provide DGS machine and crew free of cost. Other labour for working with DGS for pre / during and post run activities shall be provided by contractor.

Tamping of track, turnouts, trap points laid on BG PSC sleepers on main/loop line with railways tamping machine including Pre Tamping and Post tamping attention to the track as per the instructions laid down in the Indian Railway Track Machine Manual, after each round of tamping of the 11 track by on Track tampers, with contractor's own labour and T & P. Railway will provide tie tamping machine, Hydraulic oil, grease, lube oil and crew free of cost. Diesel, cotton waste, re- conditioning of tamping tools will be provided by contractor at his own cost. All labour required for pre-tamping, post tamping and during tamping operations shall be provided by the contractor at his own cost. Work is to be carried out as per special conditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Providing and fixing of Gumti for NI/PNI period in station yards at different locations as per requirement of traffic department, Gumti will be erected at dressed level surface with water prooftarpaulin size minimum 10 feet x 10 feet and bottom flooring to be covered by tarpaulin. All side 12 of Gumti to be foldable if required. Following men and material listed below will be provided by the contractor. The safety and security of Gumti have to be ensured by the contractor as a complete job. List of man and material for one Gumti (One Gumati=One Set). 1. Unskilled labour= 2 Nos, 2. Gumti = 1 No., 3. Table 3x2 feet = 1 No., 4. Office chair = 2 Nos., 5. Stool = 2 Nos., 6. Bucket = 1 No., 7. Mug = 1 No., 8. Crow bar = 2 Nos.

Providing and fixing along the railway track Hectometer/ Km/ gradient post and fouling marks in M-25 grade RCC and M-10 grade base concrete as per Railway drawings with contractor's 13 own cement, steel, aggregate, water, tools and plants, equipments, consumables, laborers etc., inclusive of all lift & lead, taxes, royalties etc. complete as per special conditions of contract and as directed by Engineer-incharge. Note:- Deduction will be made @ Rs. 171.04 Each quantity, if painting and lettering is not done.

Preparation of ballast bed on new formation suitable for BG track including rolling of 14 ballast carpet thickness ( 150 mm maximum) with contractors own 8 to 10 tonne self propelled roller. Tools & plants equipments, consumables, labours etc. including all lead and lift complete as per special condition of contract and as directed by Engineer-in charge as per approved profile. Note:- Putting in of fresh ballast will be paid separately under relevant NS items.
