Note for item no 2 and 3 :- No price adjustment shall be done if PME used is more than 0.6 Ltr and 0.4 Ltr per sqm of area in first and second coat respectively.

Material and labour for the removal of Rubber deposits from runway surfaces using waterblasting cum vaccuming system with suitable operating pressure so that the total Rubber deposits are removed from Runway (both Rigid and Flexible) surfaces by the method of water blasting cum vaccuming system with suitable water pressure without use of any chemical & causing no damage to the existing surfaces complete.
The Tenderer shall take into consideration the following points while quoting the rates of this item :- Notes : (i) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator.
(ii) Total Rubber deposits should be removed and the Debries/Water to be Vaccumed Simultaneously leaving no FOD so that the Runway is available for operation immediately.
(iii) The Machine make to be deployed for Runway Rubber Removal should have E-in-C approval eg SH8000, SH5000, Sk3000 of make STRIPE HOG or equivalent.
(iv) Rubber Deposit Should be in solid form when finally disposed off outside MOD land.
(v) In any emergency condition, the machine (along with workers) should exit from the Runway in less than 3 minutes without leaving FOD. (vi) Friction Test should be carried out before and after Rubber Deposits removal operation. The requisite friction test machine will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. Nothing extra will be admissible to the contractor on this account. (vii) After carrying out rubber removal operation on the Runway the friction reading of the rubber removed segment /area should be the minimum 0.55 µ .

(c) Friction test shall be conducted after final coat to ascertain friction value (Range between 0.35 to 0.6). The requisite friction test machine will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost. Nothing extra will be admissible to the contractor on this account.
(d) The necessary material and T&P for full proof arrangement for sealing of embedded lights i.e. Runway Centre Line lights and Touchdown Zone lights to prevent seepage of PME in to the lights /defacing of lights will be arranged by the contractor at his own cost .Nothing extra will be admissible to the contractor on this account.
(e) Entire raw material to be used should be procured (from manufacturer) & brought to site before execution of work and stored at site as per direction of GE. f) Friction parameters permeability parameters to ensure zero porosity, penetration of PME after application of both coats and micro and micro textures will be determind through relevant testing testing methods as directed by GE/Engr-in-charge ( Qty will be measured and paid under relevant iytems of first coat and second coat of PME. g) Care shall be taken to fill gaps /Cracks upto 5mm size with mineral filler as per manufacturer's instructions. h) Any number of trial patches of dimension 15mX15m at selected places for applicationof PME as directed by GE will be undertaken befire commencement of treatment.
