The bidder shall set up one Calibration, water meter testing bench cum Service Center as per IS 6784 latest edition and other relevant codes for calibration of meters and its testing including repair/ replacement of water meters and storing spare meters for replacement wherever required. The location of service center shall be centrally located in the cluster of 112 villages. This infrastructure shall be provided, operated, and maintained by the bidder for 5 years. The bidder shall keep at least 100 water meters in working and fully functional conditions at Calibration cum Service Center, as spare inventory, so as to replace defective water meters in 112 villages, wherever required.

The bidder shall provide, operate and maintain for 5 years online Digital Database of consumers in whose houses the water meters have been installedand Digital Graphic Dashboard. The bidder shallalso provide Service Support and Telephonically and Digital Consumer Grievance Redressal Mechanism for 5 years. The digital database must be capable of lodging consumer complaints, log of meters repair and time taken in repairs etc. (but not limited to). The bidder shall give access free of cost to the purchaser and transfer all data after the expiry of contract.

The bidder shall maintain the water meters for 5 years from the date of installation. The bidder shall repair/ replace any defective meter within 48 hours. The bidder shall clean dirt box of all meters once in a year or as required. The bidder shall fix the leakage in the water meters. The bidder shall log the proper functioning of water meters every month in the database. All the water meters shall be working properly to the entire satisfaction of the purchaser.
Nothing extra shall be payable to the bidder for replacement of defective/ non-functional water meters except wilful damage by the consumer(s). The bidder must offer guarantee/warrantee of water meters during the maintenance period of 5 years to DWSS.
