The required prior work experience for the bidder includes experience in Civil Engineering works, with a focus on similar works and a demonstrated capability to complete the envisaged work. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed in the last seven years and as a prime contractor (or as a nominated subcontractor) one Bridge Work or Lining Work or Hydraulic Structure Work or Building Work or Mechanical Work or Electrical Works or Other Civil Works, as the work may be, of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost. Alternatively, the bidder should have completed two similar works of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work or three similar works of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The value and percentage of similar works completed are as follows: - One work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost - Two works of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost - Three works of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost The bidder's experience in similar works is also considered, with a requirement for the bidder to have completed works of a similar nature and value. The bidder should provide details of their experience in similar works, including the type of works, location, and value of the contract. For certain personnel to be deployed on contract work, the following experience is required: - Site Engineer: 2 years of experience (for Road Works and Bridge/Cross Drainage Works) - Plant Engineer: 2 years of experience (for Road Works) The bidder should have an average annual financial turnover during the last 3 years of at least 30% of the estimated cost, and an average annual financial turnover of at least 15% during the last 3 years ending 31st March of the previous financial year. The bidder should also provide information on the percentage and amount of participation in the project, as well as the percentage and amount subcontracted by the firm. The bidder should give details of earthwork, brick lining/brick work/concrete lining/concrete structures, retaining walls, concrete in bridges/cross drainage works/flood protection work, etc. Additionally, the bidder is required to provide an undertaking that they will be able to invest a minimum cash of up to 25% of the contract value of work during implementation of the work. The bidder should have minimum liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities of an amount not less than that indicated in the Appendix to ITB, which is usually the equivalent of the estimated cash flow for 3 months in the peak construction period.
