The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having a minimum turnover amount, completing similar works, and having a certain amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, in the last five years, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. The values of works can be updated to current price levels by enhancing the value of executed works at a simple rate of 8% per annum. The bidder should have achieved a minimum annual financial turnover of 40% of the estimated cost of work in any one of the last three financial years. The bidder should also have availability of personnel with adequate experience as required for this work, including: - Project/Work Manager: BE (Civil) with at least 2 years experience - Site Engineer: BE (Civil) or Diploma (Civil) with at least 2 years experience - Plant Engineer: Dip. (Mech.) with at least 2 years experience - Quality Control Engineer: B.E. (Civil) or Dip. (Civil) with at least 2 years experience - Survey Engineer: ITI qualified Surveyor For works above a certain amount, the bidder is required to provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported with performance certificates from the authority for whom the work has been completed. The bidder should submit an undertaking that their available bid capacity is more than the estimated value of the project/work, and that they will be able to invest a minimum cash up to 25% of the contract value of the work during implementation. The bidder should also provide evidence of access to lines of credit and availability of other financial resources facilities, which is 10% of the contract value, certified by the bankers. The amount of liquid assets and/or availability of credit facilities should be not less than the amount indicated, usually the equivalent of the estimated cash flow for 3 months in peak construction period.
