Construction of granular sub-base by providing material as per grading-III ( Table 400-I of MORT&H 5th revision), mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per technical clause 401 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and laying of Brick on end edging 6.83cm wide, 11.11cm long and 22.86cm high half brick deep including excavation, refilling and disposal of surplus earth up to 50mtr complete as per Punjab PWD specifications

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, laying in uniform layers with paver in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density complete as per technical clause 406 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion SS on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.85kg/sqm complete as per technical clause 502 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and applying tack coat with penetration grade bitumen VG-10 using bitumen pressure distributor at the rate of 0.40 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface/granular surface treated with prime coat after cleaning the surface complete as per technical specifications

Dense Graded Bituminous Macadam 50mm to 75mm thickness (Grading II) Providing and laying dense graded bituminous macadam 50mm to 75mm thick with Continuous type hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @ 4.5%, laying with a Paver Finisher Mechanical to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 505 of MORT&H specifications NOTES : - (i) Job mix formula for the dense bituminous macadam shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution.. (ii) The specification of this item for analytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 4.50% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid / deducted accordingly. The limits of variation shall be worked out with the approved formula. TECHNICAL NOTE : - (i) Apart from the confirmity with the grading and quantity requirement of invidual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e.coarse and fine aggregate for dense bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 505 of MORT & H specifications. (ii) The final grading for the aggregates required for dense bituminous macadam confirming to table 500.10 of MORT & H specifications shall be determined after getting the dense bituminous macadam designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60 % of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set fourth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). (iii) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, source and location of all material: - (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (c) Crushed bajri expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (d) Fine aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. (f) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.30 gm/CC

Bituminous Concrete 30mm to 45mm thickness (Grading II) Providing and laying bituminous concrete 30mm to 45mm thick with continuous type hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @ 5.4%, carriage of mixed material to site of work, laying with paver finisher mechanical the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 507 of MORT&H specifications NOTES:- (i) Job mix formula for the bituminous concrete shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set forth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). iii.) Construction of embankment with earth obtained from roadway cutting or excavation including spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of table 300-2 as per technical clause 305 of MORT&H specifications

Road marking with hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 0.25kg per sqm area as per IRC:35 1997 complete as per technical clause 803 of MORT&H specifications
