Relaying of recovered material obtained from dismentling of road crust using as Granular sub base

Providing and laying of Brick on end edging 6.83 cm wide, 11.11 cm long and 22.86 cm high half brick deep including excavation, refilling and disposal of surplus earth up to 50 metre complete as per Punjab PWD specifications.

Water Bound Macadam Grading I (with screening ) Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of Grading I to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with smooth wheeled roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density complete as per technical clause 404 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and laying surface dressing in single coat using crushed stone aggregates of specified size on a layer of bituminous binder VG-10 @ 1kg per sqm laid on prepared surface after cleaning the road surface and rolling with 8-10 tonne smooth wheeled steel roller complete as per technical clause 509 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and applying tack coat with penetration grade bitumen VG-10 using bitumen pressure distributor at the rate of 0.40 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface/granular surface treated with prime coat after cleaning the surface complete as per technical specifications

Providing and laying Dense graded bituminous macadam (Grade-II) 50mm -75mm thick with contniuous type HMP using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @ 4.50%, carriage of mixed material to site of work, laying with paver finisher mechanical to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 505 of MORT&H specifications NOTES:- (i) Job mix formula for the dense bituminous macadam shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. (ii) The specification of this item for analytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 4.50% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid/ deducted accordingly. The limits of variation shall be worked out with the approved formula. TECHNICAL NOTE:- I.) Apart from the conformity with the grading and quantity requirement of individual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e. coarse and fine aggregate for dense bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 505 of MORT&H specifications. II.) The final grading for the aggregates required for dense bituminous macadam confirming to table 500.10 of MORT&H specifications shall be determined after getting the dense bituminous macadam designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set forth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). III.) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details source and location of all material:- (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (c) Crushed bajri expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (d) Fine aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. (f) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.30 gm/CC

Providing and laying bituminous concrete (Grade-II) 30mm thick with continuous hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @ 5.4%, carriage of mixed material to site of work, laying with paver finisher mechanical to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 507 of MORT&H specifications NOTES:- (i) Job mix formula for the bituminous concrete shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. Road marking with hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 0.25kg per sqm area as per IRC:35 1997 complete as per technical clause 803 of MORT&H specifications
