The final grading for the aggregates required for bituminous concrete confirming to table 500.17 of MORT&H specifications shall be determined after getting the bituminous concrete designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set forth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). iii.) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, source and location of all material:- (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (c) Crushed bajri 13.2/11.2mm expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (d) Fine aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. f) Fillar expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (g) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.31 gm/CC
