Providing and laying bituminous macadam with hot mix plant using crushed aggregates of grading as per Table 500.4 premixed with bituminous binder, transported to site upto a lead of 1000 m laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and rolled to achieve the desired compaction as per Technical Specification Clause 504. NOTES:- (i) Job mix formula for the bituminous concrete shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. (ii) The specifications of this item for analytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 5.4% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid/ deducted accordingly. The limits of variations shall be worked out with the approved formula. TECHNICAL NOTE:- i.) Apart from the conformity with the grading and quantity requirement of individual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e. coarse and fine aggregate for bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 507 of MORT&H specifications. ii.) The final grading for the aggregates required for bituminous concrete confirming to table 500.17 of MORT&H specifications shall be determined after getting the bituminous concrete designed from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set forth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). iii.) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, source and location of all material:- (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (c) Crushed bajri 13.2/11.2mm expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (d) Fine aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. f) Fillar expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. (g) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.31 gm/CC

Mix Seal Surfacing Providing, laying and rolling of close-graded premix surfacing material of 25 mm thickness composed of 13.2 mm to 0.09 mm (Type-B) aggregates using penetration grade bitumen to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing course on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant, laying and rolling with a three wheel 8-10 kN static roller and finishing to required level and grades as per Technical Specification Clause 509 (VG-30) @19kg/10sqm (Bitumen)

Providing and making rumble strips 15-20mm high at centre, 250mm wide placed at 1m centre to centre over freshly laid bituminous layer by using close graded premix surfacing material type B at approved locations to control speed and marked with 100mm wide white strips of thermoplastic road marking paint. The close graded premix surfacing material type B shall conform to technical clause 512 and thermoplastic road marking paint shall conform to technical clause 803 of MORT&H specifications.

Road marking with hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 0.25kg per sqm area as per IRC:35 1997 complete as per technical clause 803 of MORT&H specifications.

Supplying and fixing of single mould twin shank reflective road studs made out of poly carbonate/ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens or Glass Beeds capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values shall be as given in the detailed specifications and the product shall conform to ASTM D4280. The raised pavement marker shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 and fixed to the road surface using the adhesive. Two cylindrical Polymer Shanks of not less than 20 mm diameter and not less than 30 mm length shall be molded in the RPM body.The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The marker shall withstand flexural strength of 909 kgf force in accordance with ASTM D4280. Marker lenses shall be moulded of Polycarbonate or methyl methecrylate conforming to ASTM D788. The supplier shall provide a 2 years warranty for satisfactory field performance as per clause 804.7.3 of MO RT&H 5th revision specifications. Ref CSR item 24.63, 243.71-GST 12%=217.60Rs/each
