Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion SS on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.85kg/sqm complete as per technical clause 502 of MORT&H specifications

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregates to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, laying in uniform layer with paver in sub base/base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achive the desired density complete as per technical clause 406 of MORT&H, specification. (All types of aggregate shall be provided by Pathankot Stone Crusher Association free of cost at quarry site)

Providing and laying dense graded bituminous macadam 50mm to 75mm thick with Continuous type Hot Mix Plant using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @ 4.5%, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, viberatory and tandam rollers to achived the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 505 of MORT&H specification (All types of aggregate shall be provided by Pathankot Stone Crusher Association free of cost at quarry site) Notes: (i) Job mix formula for the dense bituminous macadam shall be provided by the agency ans shall be got approved from Punjab PWD B & R Research Laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. (ii) The Specification of this item for anylytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 4.50% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid/decucted accordingly the limits of variation shall be worked out with the approved formula. TECHICAL NOTE:- (I) Apart from the confirmity with the grading and quantity requirement of invidual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e. coarse and fine aggregate for dense bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 505 of MORT&H specifications. (ii) The final grading for the aggregates required for dense bituminous macadam confirming to table 500.10 of MORT&H specifications shall be determined after getting the dense bituminous macadam designed from Punjab PWD B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set fourth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). (iii) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details source and location of all materail:- a) Binder expressed as precentage by weight of total mix b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. c) Crushed Bajri expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. d) Final aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. f) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.30 gm/CC.
