Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion SS-1 on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.85kg/sqm complete as per technical clause 502 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion RS using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.25 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous surface/granular surface treated with prime coat after cleaning the surface complete as per technical clause 503 of MORT&H specifications

Providing and laying dense graded bituminous macadam 50mm to 75mm thick with batch type HMP using crushed aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder VG-30 @ 4.5%, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction complete as per technical clause 505 of MORT&H specifications NOTES : - (i) Job mix formula for the dense bituminous macadam shall be provided by the agency and shall be got approved from Punjab PWD, B&R Research Laboratory Patiala before adoption at site for execution. (ii) The specification of this item for analytic purpose is kept with bitumen content @ 4.50% weight of mix variation as compared with job mix formula shall be paid / deducted accordingly. The limits of variation shall be worked out with the approved formula. Technical Note:- i) Apart from the conformity with the grading and quantity requirement of invidual ingredients exhibited above the mix aggregate i.e. coarse and fine aggregate for dense bituminous concrete shall meet all requirements set forth clause 505 of MORT&H 5th Revision specifications. ii) The final grading for the aggregates required for dense bituminous macadam confirming to table 500.10 of MORT&H 5th Revision specifications shall be determined after getting the dense bituminous macadam designed from Punjab PWD B&R Research Laboratory Patiala after obtaining 60% of material. The design mix so finally approved shall be termed as the approved mix. The aggregates shall be hydrophobic and of low porosity. The aggregates shall satisfy the physical requirement set fourth in table 500-6 (addendum to latest revision). iii) The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, source and location of all material: - iii (a) Binder expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. iii (b) Course expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. iii (c) Crushed bajri expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. iii (d) Final aggregate expressed as percentage by weight of total mix iii (e) A single definite percentage passing each sieve for mixed aggregates. iii (f) Density of dense bituminous macadam after compaction will be not less than 2.30 gm/CC.

Providing and laying 80 mm thick factory made cement concrete interlocking Paving blocks of M-40 grade manufactured by block making machine equipped with steel mould clamped to a strong vibratory table with hydraulic pressure for compaction of concrete as per IRC SP 63 -2014 and of approved size and design / shape laid in Ordinary Grey Colour and pattern over and including 40 mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, filling the joints with fine sand etc, all complete as per directions of Engineer-in- Charge.

Supplying and fixing of single mould twin shank reflective road studs made out of poly carbonate/ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens or Glass Beeds capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values shall be as given in the detailed specifications and the product shall conform to ASTM D4280. The raised pavement marker shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 and fixed to the road surface using the adhesive. Two cylindrical Polymer Shanks of not less than 20 mm diameter and not less than 30 mm length shall be molded in the RPM body. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. Themarker shall withstand flexural strength of 909 kgf force in accordance with ASTM D4280.
