The required prior work experience for the bidder includes satisfactorily completing, in the last five years, one similar work of value not less than 80% of the estimated cost of work, or two similar works each of value not less than 50% of the estimated cost of work, or three similar works each of value not less than 40% of the estimated cost of work. Specifically, for the given estimated cost of work, the minimum value of one similar work is 80% of the Estimated cost of the work, which is Rs. 9.20 Cr. Alternatively, the bidder can have two similar works, each with a minimum value of 50% of the Estimated cost of the work, which is Rs. 5.75 Cr, or three similar works, each with a minimum value of 40% of the Estimated cost of the work, which is Rs. 4.60 Cr. The work experience should be as a prime contractor or as a nominated sub-contractor, where the subcontract involved execution of all main items of work described in the bid document. The values of works can be updated to current price levels by enhancing the value of executed works at a simple rate of 8% per annum. The bidder should provide a list of similar works completed during previous years, duly supported with performance certificates from the authority for whom the work has been completed, including the name of the work, estimated cost, date of start, and date of completion.
