The required prior work experience for the bidder includes having experience in construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as a prime contractor, at least one similar work equal in value to one-third (or one-fourth in case of Naxal / Left Wing Extremist affected districts) of the estimated cost of the work for which the bid is invited. The bidder needs to provide information on the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited, along with a certificate from a Chartered Accountant. The certificate should include the total amount in lakhs for each of the five years. Specific values and percentages of similar works completed are mentioned as follows: - 60% of the amount put to bid if it is Rs. 200 lakhs, - 75% of the amount put to bid if it is more than Rs. 200 lakhs, - 50% in Naxal / Left Wing Extremist affected districts. Additionally, the bidder should provide details of work performed as a prime contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years, along with a certificate from the Engineer-in-charge. The bidder should also provide information on existing commitments and ongoing construction works. A maintenance engineer with a degree/diploma in civil engineering and three years of experience is also required.
