The bidder should have the total financial turn over in respect of Civil Engineering works of an amount not less than the amount put to tender during any 3 financial years taken together of the last preceding five years. In terms of specific values and percentages, the bidder should have completed similar works worth 75% of the estimated cost, and should have a total financial turn over of an amount not less than the amount put to tender. The bidder is required to have prior work experience in similar nature and volume of construction works over the last five years from the date of receipt of the bid. The bidder needs to attach a certificate from the Engineer-in-Charge, not below the rank of Superintending Engineer, for the work performed as a prime contractor. The details of the prior work experience to be furnished include: - Project name - Name of employer - Description of work - Value of contract - Contract number - Date of issue of work order - Stipulated date of completion - Actual date of completion - Year-wise value of work done The annual turnover certificate from a Chartered Accountant for the last five financial years, with a break-up of civil works and total works for each financial year, is also required. The escalation factor to be used for updating the costs of works executed and the financial figures to a common base value for works completed in India are as follows: - One year before: 1.10 - Two years before: 1.21 - Three years before: 1.33 - Four years before: 1.46 - Five years before: 1.61 The bidder should indicate actual figures of costs and amounts for the work executed by them without accounting for the above-mentioned factors. The value and percentage of similar works completed is 75% of the estimated cost. The amount is not less than the amount put to tender.
