The bidder should have experience in works of a similar nature and size for each of the last five years. The total monetary value of civil construction works performed for each of the last five years should be provided. For road construction, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor or sub-contractor, at least one similar road work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of road work for which the bid is invited. For Long span bridge portion of work, the bidder should have satisfactorily completed, as prime Contractor or Subcontractor, at least one Long Span Bridge work equal in value to one-third (one-fourth in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated cost of Long Span Bridge work for which the bid is invited. The value of road work or long span bridge work completed by the bidder under specific schemes in originally stipulated period of completion shall be counted as 120% for the purpose of this requirement. In Naxal/Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figures of 60% and 75% would be replaced by 50%. The bidder's annual average turnover during the last five years should be at least 30% (or 25% in case of Naxal / LWE affected districts) of the estimated contract value. The bidder must demonstrate having experience and resources sufficient to meet the aggregate of the qualifying criteria for the individual contracts. For Joint Venture firms, the lead partner shall meet not less than 50% of qualification criteria, and each of the remaining partners shall meet not less than 25% of all the criteria. The bidder is required to provide information on work performed as prime Contractor or Sub-Contractor on construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. A certificate from the Engineer-in-charge for the work performed, and a certificate from a Chartered Accountant for the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years is required.
