The bidder is required to have prior work experience in civil engineering construction work, specifically having executed and received payments for a total annual volume of civil engineering construction work in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. They should have experience in construction works of a similar nature and volume over the last five years. The bidder should have completed works of a similar nature, with a value that can be used to calculate their available bid capacity. The calculation involves the maximum value of civil engineering works executed in any one year during the last five years, updated to the current price level at the rate of 8 percent a year. Additionally, the bidder should have achieved a minimum financial turnover, with at least 50% of which is from Civil Engineering construction works, equivalent to: - 60% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is Rs.200 lakhs, - 75% of the amount put to bid, if the amount put to bid is more than Rs.200 lakhs, with an indexing rate of 8% per year. However, in Naxal / Left Wing Extremist Affected Districts, the figure of 75% would be replaced by 50%. The bidder is required to provide details of works in progress or contractually committed, and the total monetary value of civil construction works performed for each of the last five years. They should also provide the total annual volume of civil engineering construction work executed and payments received in the last five years preceding the year in which bids are invited. No specific percentage of similar works completed is mentioned, except that the bidder needs to provide the value of the contract for each project, and the percentage quoted by the bidder will be applicable to all work/services indicated.
